There are a lot of reasons someone could be a bully. I did it once in junior high. I was trying to impress my "friends," who I should not have been friends with. I made a shitty comment and have regretted it ever since. If she has been a bully for a while and continues to be one for a long time you may have a point.

No, I think you absolutely did the right thing. I'm not criticizing. I just thought it was funny that they teach people to do this in scientology.

When I'm reading peoples' accounts of scientology I sometimes forget that I'm reading real accounts and not a really good fictional book.

SHE'S FORTY? WHAT? NO WAY.

Read some books by former members of the Sea Org. These people are basically held hostage and physically abused. They are told they can never see their families again. The leader of the church physically assaults people at all levels of the organization. It's horrible. If you leave, they do everything in their power

Scientologists are told that if they go on the internet they will see things that they aren't supposed to see about the religion (things that are "too advanced" for them) and it will kill them. You rarely see scientologists on the internet for this reason, at least not members of the Sea Org and people who see the

I've bought like 10 books like this and nobody's come for me, I think you're good.

I've read many books from former scientologists, and reviews for those books are ALWAYS whining that they can't write well. It's like, of course they can't write. They all joined scientology at age 10 and then never got real education again.

There are a ton of really great books by former scientologists. Basically, you read one, look at the important names, then google them and they'll have left and written a book (of all the former high-profile scientology leaders, only David Miscavige remains). I've read the books by Mark Headley, Amy Scobee, and Jenna

This is actually what they teach you to do in scientology. They "train" you to me so loud and assertive and demanding that you can make anyone do anything. It basically results in brow-beating and screaming matches, and the leader of the church beating the shit out of everyone with no one willing to do anything about

Tommy Davis actually left the church a couple of years ago. Maybe someone should ask him.

Reading books by former victims of scientology (I have almost all of them), there are a LOT of high-profile scientologists who have left and have said damning things, things so damning it's a travesty that the government hasn't gone after the church. Those people are still alive and kicking, albeit being harassed. And

A lot of people have survived this and gone public/written books that are much more damning than what she's being saying without being public figures and they've survived. I think she'll be okay. If you want to worry, you should worry about people like Amy Scobee and Marty Rathburn - if they go missing it won't be

Whenever I see him I accidentally call him Mo Rocca. Remember him? He was my FAVORITE. John Oliver is cool too, but Mo Rocca did his style first, damnit.

I agree, but everyone always uses the excuse that she has all this education and is a classical pianist or whatever. It doesn't matter if she is if all she produces is crap.

"Edge of Glory" came on the radio earlier today and I was just thinking of how boring and... standard it was. For all the talent and musical education she has, she doesn't use it, so what's the point? She's about getting attention, not making art. It doesn't matter what she's technically capable of, THIS kind of shit

So, the Republican party is saying they want to make their platforms and candidates less visible and known to the general population. Sounds good.

Maybe she went back to him after a couple of years for the sake of the kids, while they lived out a miserable existence.

I have friends who started dating in middle school and were married a few years ago. Been together for over a decade now. They seem alright.

I started looking after an elderly woman a few years ago who exclusively watches PBS. It was the first time I had seen it and I was like, hey, this actually has good programming. I especially love the news, where they only bring on knowledgeable people who state their opinions and don't scream at each other or cause
