I honestly thought most trucks have drum brakes in the rear because the rear of a pickup truck is so light (especially “small” trucks like the Tacoma, Frontier, etc), the large friction force disc brakes provide is unnecessary and possibly worse because they would be so much easier to lock up.

I agree. At a time I believe that was the rule....once the ball clears the front most part of the white part of the goal line, the play is over, TD. They can drop it right after but the play was already dead at that point.

I drove my pretty darn new RAM 1500 with the 5.7L Hemi to my nearest “Top Tier” gas station (Costco). 87 be damned, I was going to treat it to some 89 like the manual “recommends”.

What did the vehicles ever do to deserve that punishment?

Knew someone who worked for the local ambulance co. They were on a call and had to leave the scene FAST (think medical distress) and someone had illegally parked right in front of them in that not-so-obviously-labelled “FIRE ZONE, NO PARKING”

Coming back from Orlando my wife had packed a large bottle of shampoo in a carry on. Along with my kids earbuds, which were all jumbled up because earbuds.

Camry sure doesn’t “compensate” for much!

COTD.

The instrument panel on my 2000 Accord Coupe had the Ford logo on it! (behind the trim pieces, of course)

Im thinking the classic “dead cat bounce”. Interim coach comes in, players are more motivated because of the change(s), interim coach “pulls out all the tricks” because they have nothing left to lose, etc.

Im a Giants fan and would agree, except they are going to start Eli again. Which gives them a better chance to win. Which means no #2 pick (unless the niners are stupid enough to win another one?)

Chefs

My sister in law made fun of me for wearing jorts (pretty recently, actually)

I once hit a bird on the highway...didnt realize it, thought it made it past my car.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes

Does soft vanilla ice cream with rainbow sprinkles wind-splattered down the OUTside of a car count?

Yeah, Ive learned....Ill crack a window if someone is actually in the car while Im warming it up (even if its cold out)

Another reminder: if you go outside to start the car and warm it up, make sure the doors aren’t somehow locked when you close the drivers door again. Especially if your 3 month old is in her car seat in the back.
