Create a floorplan on the first layer, then build upwards from there. It takes a lot of experience to be able to build some of the things these people build though. If you really want to be able to do that, then just keep trying to make more and more unique designs

There used to be a program called the Minecraft Structure Planner (MSP) that I used to plan buildings. You can even apply custom textures to MSP. It's not automatically intuitive, but you get used to the program once you start using it. The web page for MSP seems to be having some issues... but maybe you can find it

I did this exact thing, I created very tall towers that had glass globes on top with lava (the brightest light) in it and I had NSEW written on the sides in glowstone or have the lava dripping down (using a double wall with a space in between for the flow if I couldn't get glowstone) And I had multiples of these built

Play with friends. My brother and I host a server that has about 8 re-occurring players. 3 that are pretty seriously invested. We're purists and don't use any mods except the one we're developing which adds endgame conveniences and other fun things — http://limmish.blogspot.com/. All survival. While we are collecting

Hey, I'm the founder of the Aerna project. The secret to getting started is good terrain. Anything you build is derived from the environment. I've done a few giant mega builds, and whether they're cities, bridges, temples, or citadels, they're all somehow based on what I have to work with terrain wise. If you're

With me, I dig a cave in a mountain....and about a week later I end up with a kingdom spanning a couple of islands including transportation, mage towers, ramparts, marinas, underground farms, and walkways connecting the areas with underground secret pathways or some other overdone craziness.

So maybe dig a cave in a

Back inna day, I had a single map that I kept building and building outward from a central point. Desert terrain? Build something that would make sense to be in the desert. Jungle terrain? Pipe some lava to the surface, build some jungle ruins in the style of the Mayans (which was considerably more fun than I thought

definitely start out with a floor plan of the outline and every room and planning your builds. it makes everything much easier.

I've always been somewhat creative and I've always loved drawing the things I imagine. I suck at drawing organic things, but I love drawing buildings, which made me start paying attention to the architecture behind... anything. From that, I started to understand why buildings are the way they are, and applyied that

Set standards. Give engineering spaces for redstone components and stick to them consistently. Come up with a block palette and core architectural concepts so colors, textures, and shapes remain consistent. If you do floors, walls, or roofing in a specific way throughout the entire structure, the whole design is going

Normally, I just start building. Sometimes it turns into something magnificent, sometimes I build half of it and can't be bothered anymore. But if I want to be really detailed, I draw a rough floor plan and work it out from there. Or I google stuff and use that for inspiration. And sometimes it's a combination of all

lots of graph paper.

I haven't done many large builds, but for the stuff I have done, graph paper has been really helpful. Plotting out a block on paper makes the game feel so much more rewarding to me, but that's probably a personal preference.

well, I tend to go bit by bit, since I enjoy a rough-shod or generational feel to my uberstructures, So, say, for a waterfront, I might build a warehouse on one end of a beach, a Lighthouse out in the water, and build a dock, and, eventually, a seawall to fill in between.

Well, I'm no minecraft expert, but I would recommend that you set a clear goal as to what exactly you are looking to accomplish. Saying a "sprawling castle" is a basic idea, but when you get down to building you'll need something more detailed, say for example, how many rooms you want it to have, just how big you want

I'm not exactly a pro or anything, but what I do when I make large buildings is start with the foundation then just build as I go along. Once I'm done with the interior, I just add stuff I think looks cool on the exterior. I'm guessing these guys probably do some actual, architectural planning. Or witchcraft.

Allegedly something along the lines of just being generally very unprofessional at the 'con, using foul language in presentations/towards fans, talking behing people's backs, playing diva, those kinds of things. And to top it off claiming they should have been paid to come to Minecon, seeing how famous there are and

You realize that Thor has been a Disney Prince for five years now, right?

None of that came anywhere near refuting my point. Go rot yourself. You lost this one, since Marvel's doing what it's doing in spite of your wishes.

I love how companies doing things that are profitable (which is what all companies do, ALL THE TIME) suddenly becomes a "cash grab" when it's something that doesn't cater only to you.
