Stop, you dastardly dolphin poacher! For this evil deed I WILL RIP OUT YOUR THROAT AND DRIVE IT UP YOUR ASS UNTIL YOUR ENTRAILS RIP OUT FROM YOUR GUT ONTO YOUR ONLOOKING CHILDREN'S FACES! FUTURE GENERATIONS WILL LOOK UPON THE TORN OPEN HUSK OF FLESH AT MY DOORSTEP AND REMEMBER THE DAY SOMEONE DARED FUCK WITH AQUAMAN'S

The point of the new ultra HD resolutions is basically to enable bigger displays in smaller spaces without the viewer being able to detect the space between pixels. One of the arguments against 4K and 8K is they aren't practical for a home unless you sit a couple of feet away from your giant TV.

To see if you can? To get the best possible quality screenshots? For laughs? To test out your rig?

Yes, I know last time I raped a girl and threw acid in her face, I only did it because there wasn't adequate representation of womyn in video games so I didn't think of them as people.

What I am trying to say that no thought was put behind the decision other than one with a dollar sign on it. I barely see black people in games and I don't complain, the majority of people who buy games are adult, white, males, those are the people they market games for. If lets say, the developer was actually racist

I (as someone who isn't white) have to empathise with your frustration here. It's like damned if you do damned if you don't.

I get why not having a female protagonist is an issue here, I really do. However, there's a bigger scandal going on that's being overlooked here and that is; why can't I play as a pre-op transsexual male in the new Tomb Raider? Unless Square fix this, they're not getting another penny out of me.

It's a damn video game, calm down.

can you make a black charecter in assassins creed unity? Can you make him an Asian?

i really wish they wouldve come out and just said,

No women main character - Sexist.

What got me was that women in general seemed to be a taboo subject. Even when I asked about the woman hostage in Rainbow Six Siege's hostage mode (wherein teams compete to rescue or capture a hostage, as seen here)—whether there would be male hostages as well, etc—my interviewee nearly got cut off by PR.

It's not a disaster. It's stupid manufactured BS. Who the hell cares there's no female playable avatars in an Assassin's Creed game? JEEZ. Expend your energy fighting inequalities somewhere else - where its needed!

Holy shit Kotaku, you and Polygon need to stop stirring up this bullshit controversy. Being represented in games does not equate to gender equality. Stop jumping on Polygon train and think about what the fuck you are saying.

I couldn't care less.

Oh yeah I wonder why a publisher or developer would be wary of talking about Women in games.

Milking the shit out of it. Oh well more articles for you.

Oh hey. A dead horse.

OUT PITCHFORKS!!
