“But telecom companies are unwilling to foot the bill,...”

Yeah, if anything it’s a very clear example of why devs should be unionized. Without protections in place their employers abuse them.

Ah, so you’re simply a horrible person. Good to know.

I know, right?

Also this.

I’m a Niners fan (thank you for your condolences) and I hate most of Seattle and their fans but I will not stand by for any bashing of Lynch. He’s forever the best. If not for his amazing playing abilities and his hatred of the media than for this.

Perhaps it is time

Wow, that thesouthlawn.org link is a must-read. Thank you!

I’m not so sure about a BLM activist being incredibly left to Bernie. The polemics of race-essentialism can make for leftist rhetoric, especially in comparison to pro-PD rhetoric, which is usually from whites and an apologia for the reckless killings and murders of blacks (and everyone killed in a - to put it nicely -

“That should bring up some red flags. But nobody’s talking about that.”

Well, let’s be clear, though: Bernie’s no prince when it comes to ed reform, either. He’s better than your average partisan pol but that isn’t saying much. He voted for charter school expansion in 98, for example. The average BLM activist, I’m willing to bet, is about a country mile to the left of Bernie on ed reform.

Adolph Reed is a fucking genius. Definitely one of the brightest academics writing about this sort of thing.

You just opened my eyes even further about this whole issue. Ever since the disruption at the Bernie rally in Seattle, shit hasn’t sat well in me. Like, something isn’t right. Then I discovered http://thesouthlawn.org/ and re-discovered Adolph Reed, and have seen clearly about this issue. You have definitely brought

Mckesson is symbolic of a really major battle that’s brewing within urban black politics, which is over ed reform. He’s a Teach for America guy and friendly with ed reform writ large; a lot of the emerging black nonprofit class are. But people of color writ large and black parents in particular are generally staunch

Yes, employers totally follow section 7 to the letter. They absolutely do not interfere with union organizing at all. They never start whispering campaigns or hold meetings about how organizing employees is a terrible thing for employees.

You know who else has the fucking Secret Service? Obama. You know who else has to face hecklers who get into his speeches? Obama. So that “Hillary has Secret Service” excuse is bull.

You’re totally right—instead of planning to alleviate racism with economic tools, Sanders should instead just plan to make every American sign a pledge stating “I won’t be racist.” That would be a much better solution.

Hillary gets advance notice and a closed door private meeting, Sanders and O’Malley get ambushed. Right.
