Fair point. But I trust the word of Will like the Gospel, so I'm willing to sacrifice the approximate $8 loss on the other 5 if I can't get it down.
And if that happens I'll mercilessly troll him for eternity like all the Yuenglingites out there.

Sweet, I was hoping you'd review a Gose. I've been skeptical and held off thus far but it sounds like it's time to grab a sixer.
Still waiting for Jimmy Kimmel to jump out of the bear costume.
Glad you reviewed this one too. Even Somerville's finest liquor store has been spreading the filthy lies of oak aging. We're taking a case camping this weekend.
A Thursday in February does the trick.
Oh, totally. I am lucky to have family up there so I can make a trip when it's way less busy. Hopefully you've made the trip to the other end of Mass to try Treehouse.
After having a few of these I completely agree. Also nice Hill Farmstead reference.
Least favorite huh? I should redo my far-east swill taste-test.
No mention of Kirin Ichiban? Perhaps it's not as widely available as I'd previously thought. I'd say it's the maltiest of an unremarkable bunch.
LOVE LOVE LOVE that the reason cited for not salting water is the warranty on the pots. There's so many directions one can go with that.
Jack's Abby is the maker of the märzen/rauchbier. Their märzen is also particularly light and fairly authentic. I don't know how far outside of Boston they distribute but it's worth a shot.
The Flipside is the replacement for the Tumbler, which I really miss.
I just don't see the need for every single craft brewery to make a pumpkin beer. Fall beer options can be much better. Brown ales, red IPAs, märzen/rauchbier hybrids, etc.
I'm surprised this didn't make it onto your IPA ranking. In hindsight where would it end up on that list?
Sigh. My favorite cheapie is still Yuengling and it's about the only thing I disagree with you on. I should get into endless pointless fights with commenters about it.
An English bitter or traditional pale ale is among my favorite beer styles. If you're looking for an American-made craft product, try out Great Divide's Denver Pale Ale. I haven't found anything else that matches the authentic malty but crisp flavor.
Session IPAs, ranked:
(I included only beers that I find in Cambridge/Somerville)
1) Ithaca Green Trail
2) Notch Left of the Dial
3) Founder's All Day
4) Lagunitas Day Time
5) Stone Go To
...
15) Getting hit by a bus
16) Any other summer beer
This might be the best breakdown of this deal we've seen so far.
Is Warner Brothers aware DC has a major character whose name is 'The Joker'?
Nice to see these reviews as a daily feature Will! I also appreciate the bits of history and context to accompany. I've only had a handful of Boulevard's beers but this one will make it onto the list.
