I think they missed an opportunity to have the fight camera take the form of a security cam in the store. The camera in that tight space was terrible, and they had a perfectly good (and artistic) excuse to make it a fixed cam perspective.
Agreed on the 1985 part, but on the subject of returning to 1955 I think the movie has earned that by that point, because it’s shown you two time periods that are entirely new and completely tonally different.
