WOW, such a telling scene!
WOW, such a telling scene!
I’d argue that Lyanna’s interruption in that scene was different: Glover is her peer, in terms of rank. What gives her interruptions a sense of pluck and power is the fact that A: by any other metric, her gender, age, and house size would make her technically an ‘inferior’, and B: She earned it by siding with Jon when…
The thing that strikes me as interesting about Sansa’s position too, is that she’s not actually taking a move out of Cercei’s playbook, so much as she’s taking a play out of Joffrey’s. When Ned admitted his treason, Cercei’s plan was to send him to the wall, then use him and her custody of Sansa to force Rob to stand…
Completely disagree with your reading of the Jon vs. Sansa scenes. Yes, they can be frustrating because the characters are making sometimes obvious communication mistakes, but to me it feels a lot like two young people who are still trying to grow into their new roles. They’ve both discovered the strength within…
I think we should hand the planning for the next Democratic election over to Marvel Studios. They have just enough bland sameness from movie to movie that would appeal to the Dem old guard, while being just good enough to keep bringing people back to theaters!
100% this! Sansa is more interested in power plays then she is in keeping the family together and surviving the wars to come. Jon messed up big time by charging Ramsey’s forces, but it was Sansa who compounded the problem by withholding valuable information. If she had said something, Jon and Rickon wouldn’t likely…
A fun little side note?
At the risk of drawing ire, I’m going to go on record as not being against this... if only for the sake of consistency: in a state where guns can be openly carried around, it only stands to reason that less deadly objects not be subject to a more strict set of laws.
That’s not a fear though, it’s what they want. White racists want a race war, because it would provide them excuses for perpetrating more violence.
Show me... ALL da’ booksss!
I’m sure they’re banking on if they cut enough taxes, the boots will be able to pick themselves up and get there themselves.
It’s a shame too, because a former coworker of mine worked on the animations for this. They all did a great job with the visuals. I’ve got mixed feelings on the rest of it.
Big ships take a long time to turn.
I know exactly where that comes from, because I lived it for years: a lot of (white) American soldiers see themselves as members of a warrior culture. To them, the Nazi’s were the better warriors, and the only reason they lost is because of the overwhelming numbers of the allies. You hear the same story about the…
This is perfect... I needed this, thank you!
If they’re not paying close enough attention to tell the difference between an Afghani girls robotics team and a real threat, then they aren’t paying close enough attention to catch actual bad-guys.
Of all the stories in the past week, I don’t know why, just now, that this story in particular would make me want to punch a wall and toss my mouse.
I’m a huge Pathfinder fan, but the backer rewards aren’t impressive enough for me to take the risk. Best to wait and see, I think.
Or why her boots magically transform from wedge-heels to flats during combat sequences (or why Amazonian warriors would wear heels at all).
Completely off-topic, but animated tattoo gifs would be amazing!
