Haha yeah, my mom told me that when she was living in LA in the 60-70's. Supermarkets would practically give them away.

I had all of them except for kongbiji jigae. :) If you can find a place that makes good jjajangmyeon definitely definitely try it out. It looks kind of gross (black/brown) but god damn a good one is so good.

I wish they did more shows like actual cooking (Barefoot) and traveling (Triple D) and “food factory” types of shows but that’s me. I almost never watch competition shows.

“... Abigail Pringle, Wendy’s president for international and chief development officer,” lol the coincidence is unreal:

Mini is a good example of being fun and light-hearted but it can definitely get to the point of them taking “fun” seriously. Still, I think it works.

Replied to the wrong thread.

SFO (San Francisco International) has a Max Deli in the Southwest terminal. I think it’s a Jewish deli? It has the most amazing cabbage and  beef soup and since I fly Southwest 99% of the time, I ALWAYS get a bowl. It’s very comforting and very very good.

I’m going to pick who I WANT to win because if you’re talented enough, you have a chance.

Wow, PBF is back?! I thought it was done for good.

This looks really fun! I never played a Far Cry game but will probably get this. Those weapons are pretty crazy esp the backpack rocket launcher.

For sure. I think Overwatch is a great example with Sombra, McCree, Mercy, Orisa, well Blizzard pretty much nailed it. :D

There’s a great interview with the lady who voiced Lady D on PC Gamer:

Doh I just realized that I wrote Black Pink instead of Blackpink. For shame... Also I didn’t know we were called Blink. Double shame...

Yes, Korean-Americans represent! We have a very similar background... Born in LA to Korean immigrants. And I’m a huge Black Pink-stan. :)

Oh this reminds me of a great article in Atlas Obscura a while back: https://www.atlasobscura.com/articles/tofu-in-germany

PEAK BEAK?

It’s happened twice. Once when a group of us went to Philadelphia to see Sleater-Kinney. The venue (Starlight?) was near Chinatown and we walked by a Chinese restaurant to get a quick bite to eat before the show and their shrimp dish and fried rice among others were so damn good we came back the next day. I think we

Perhaps the World of Darkness games like Vampire? Mostly because the setting/interactions are so theatrical and it’s pretty much known as much for its LARP scene. So playing across screens would lose some of that intimacy.

Paranoia was the first one I thought of. But I wonder if you played remote, that would also create a sense of dystopian feel, plus the ability to type to the GM while other are hearing or seeing you type furiously... :P
