Killing the comment sections was part of the VC takeover plan to kill all of the G/O sites. You don’t want those sites building readership and community, you want to drive sports fans to Barstool, car fans to...any other car site, and Jezebel and The Root readers...off of the internet.

Yeah, I’m really hoping they bring the comments along too. But lots of sites seem to have found comment sections too toxic to deal with, and I’m sure the trolls will follow it there.
