I loved playing Super Street Fighter 2 on my SNES but I never felt too attached to the the console. However what triggers my happy memories is the colored buttons. That is something Nintendo should never give up on because it defines them.

There should be an option to have the “good option” as the front cover. Otherwise, what it says to me is that the marketing department has no regard to whether or not the game is good or not.
I hate to say it but I bet that’s exactly what they are looking for. “Hey people think it’s Halo! That will draw their attention.” It’s a really cynical approach to selling games and it cheapens the work people put into it.
After this trailer/announcement, I feel more convinced it’s not as bad as some say it is. Granted, I’ve only played a few Metroid games, but to me the design and gameplay elements seem to be not that far off from the “main” game line. I understand that it’s not a “main” Metroid game and I wish Nintendo would release…
As a Gen X, I can comfortably say this will be a future collectible if not already.
One of my favorite military jet planes of all time. I loved it when it was initially a unique tandem attacker but then with the EA version and all the electronic counter-gear I loved it even more. I have a hobby of collecting scale model of EA-6s simply for their unique configuration and design. Always great to see…
Zagato is one of my favorite design firms but they either hit a grand slam (Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato) or swing wildly and strike out to end the World Series (too many to list) in a very ugly way. But when they hit, they nail it and I think this is one of those that wins the World Series. Maybe not in the 7th game,…
Yep, I love living in San Francisco but what kills me a bit everyday is that it makes it almost impossible financially to have a car especially as a hobby.
This brings back memories of how Honda Prelude’s 4WS was such a revolutonary concept for me just as I got into automobiles. And then the gadget-laden Mistubishi 3000GT just made it even more impressive. I remember thinking how less than 2 degrees of angle could make that much of a difference.
I can see what a diff they are. Blocky stilted movement vs. curvy sensuous movement. As a Nintendo fanatic I hope you continue with Nintendo but I wouldn't mind seeing Street Fighter V characters!
:O That’s amazing! I checked out the rest in your DA Gallery and they are all so good. I especially like Meta-Knight, Zero-Suit Samus, and Wii Fit Trainer, esp how you interpreted her generic features. And I definitely didn’t expect you to do Mr. Game & Watch (my main) cause it would seem to be too easy but I dig what…
I am on Chapter 6 (!) of Conquest and I’ve found it so far to be better in every way than Awakening except as you mentioned, the characters aren’t as memorable at least right off the bat.
Also, I would love to see you do Splatoon’s inklings! ;)
This is just fantastic! Love the colors and the style while distinctive on its own keeps within the aesthetics of Fire Emblem. I wonder if the bare feet is their winking reference to the lack of feet in Awakenings? :P
Great review! I bought both but decided on Conquest soley based on the design aesthetics (it’s just as valid!). But now I’m wondering, would playing Conquest first ruin the experience of playing Birthright after? Would Birthright feel too easy and not challenging if it’s played after Conquest?
It’s my favorite Atari game of the era. The gameplay was so different and so fun.
His work is good enough to be working for Games-Workshop! He nails the feel/atmosphere of what Warhammer/WH40K.
There are many people like me who want to buy the complete Fire Emblem: Fates special edition game that has gone out of sale. I LOVE Nintendo but when they pull this crap, it makes even this diehard fan question their intentions.
Aw, the photo reminds me of how Tesla was originally a niche electric sports car maker started by one guy and then eventually he left on bad terms. And then, if I remember correctly, Musk bought it from whoever was the then owner. The original guy must feel some resentment at what it’s become but I would hope he has…
Nice to see the Tornado is still in service. They became one of my favorite military jet when I really got into Digital Integration’s PC game Tornado back in the 90's. I loved flying low at 200 ft approaching a runway for that runway bomb thing or flying high and switching to the navigator/weapons officer and dropping…
