I know he's known more for other things, but I'm going to watch Twister in tribute today. So sad.

"He just went all Gary Oldman on my ass." Love it.

Psych did an Oldman reference this week too! And actually, Community and Parks & Rec had similar plot lines.

....are Community writers really just that attuned to the nerds or are they psychic?

I want mac & cheese pizza.

That is mesmerizing.

As Rosalind Russell wears the hell out of her hats in that movie, none of them trilbies I think, this is a gif we must pay attention to.

Have you seen The Descendants? She plays an excellent teenage girl-monster. Could've just been her personality , haha, but after seeing some Secret Life I was pleasantly surprised. Maybe she purposefully created a low baseline for herself?

The book makes a real effort to not be saccharine, honestly. Now if you just get uncomfortable looking at emotional events because they happen to teenagers, well then....we can't help ya here.

Agreed! I ugly-cried during Looking for Alaska more than Fault in Our Stars.

That's so truly awful.

In that new movie Afternoon Delight a bunch of women are talking about most of them having had an abortion in their 20s and it's nothing like that, and I was SO relieved (and kinda proud for Jill Soloway, who wrote it).
They weren't like, "Oh of course you had an abortion in your 20s because it's

Thank god he can become so beautifully lean but not bulky. Otherwise we wouldn't have the perfect Thor and Loki.

But he had to go to England to get all Evil. ;)

Yeah. I'm pretty sure if puppies spoke it would be with an Australian accent.

I don't even disagree that Jezebel does focus on Lena Dunham, because they write an awful lot of pieces about her for me to say otherwise. But as I pointed out in another comment, Lena Dunham's in a position where she's going to get a lot of critique; the photoshop thing was instigated in a weird way but it wasn't

Oh I definitely think they focus on her specifically. It's just that there aren't a lot of women in her position out there (unfortunately). I sometimes wish commenters suggested other people though, instead of telling Jezebel that they're sick of hearing about one lady.

The unedited photos thing only bothered me

It never seemed to me like they hate her. When Tina Fey's women's university show premieres in the fall I'm gonna be all over it because it relates to my interests and my personal experience. I'm going to critique the hell out of it, I'm going to ask other people's opinions about it, they're going to have to do an

Right now it seems like a lot of commenters are the "mean girls": a lot of hate and vitriol has been thrown around down here about both Lena Dunham and Jezebel. None of it sounds like constructive criticism, which I assume is what they're advocating for. (I can't imagine they're advocating for no criticism at all,

Having some childhood flashbacks that are more uncomfortable than I expected. (What did Loony Tunes do to me?)

It's a love/hate season. I loved it.
