Right? I was like, I'm only 2 years younger than @dumbassticgoddess, surely 5- and 7-year-olds share favorite movies.

The "blanket full of crabs" thing is pretty funny, actually.
BEST THING EVER.
Ever notice that those "gotta be me", bad attitude girls always appear to have pointier teeth than normal? Like I'm sure it's the photo, but her personality MAKES me see it.
Ari Gold! That's who this reminds me of.
I would hate-read this girl's memoir so hard.
Well there's an example of why the HUGE story headline photos aren't always a good thing...
A refurbished Dell laptop about 2.5" thick when I was 14 because my parents felt guilty for spending so much money on my brother's hockey gear. We had a family desktop for a few years before that though.
Other sites have had a "newsfeed" view of comments for a long time with no change, with responses seeded underneath as it used to be hear. Why was that a bad thing?
Agreed, especially on format of the comments. Why is love for using the margins of the page disappearing?
That was one book that I randomly grabbed at the library when I was about 10 and it's stuck in my mind far more than many of the books I read then. A total surprise, but so good. (And I'm reminded of it every time I meet twin brothers)
I never thought to look up other Tam Lin versions, good idea!
Wrinkle in Time will always be my favorite, but that whole quartet is wonderful. For some reason I always liked Many Waters more than Swiftly Tilting Planet, but I think that's because I'd always felt a little sorry for Sandy and Denys. ;)
I never read beyond Sabriel. It became a "yeah, that book was imaginative, but it freaks me out", and then I found other series, haha.
Also, if you're having trouble remembering a book then go here: http://whatwasthatbook.livejournal.com/ One of these Gawker websites recommended it awhile ago and it's awesome.
'Fire and Hemlock' was a favorite of mine, a one-off of Dianna Wynne Jones' (I think). I liked Garth Nix's 'Sabriel' but it also gave me nightmares. Oh man! 'Singularity' by William Sleator...'Star Split' by Kathryn Lasky...Christopher Pike definitely; those Last Vampire books were good...I spent about a year reading…
ELLA ENCHANTED. YES. That was definitely a case where the movie changed *just because* and not for any continuity or needing to condense storylines reasons. Oh man, how could they leave out all the "too old to marry, to tall to marry, etc" stuff? Bastards!
Y'know who's boring? The Ironborn. Everything about them makes me yawn, and then [spoiler] doesn't even win in AFFC? Ugh. Wasted time.
