1st of all, if he is in the Air Force he is an "Airman" jumping out of a aircraft, not a "Soldier".

The distilled water is to help the ingredients mix well in the bottle. Some tap water has an odd effect.
I found Tea Tree Oil, in this diluted concentration, did wonders for my scalp. I didn't like the smell though because to me it smelled like I was shampooing with gun oil.
I've been making my own shampoo for a while now and I really prefer it to the store bought shampoo. I know I can get cheap shampoo easily enough that ends up being, well cheaper, but I like this stuff. I blogged about it late last year ([cstogdill.blogspot.com]).
My wife and I have had one of these for years. Both are beer trays, which are a great size.
I keep some Thank You cards and stamps in my case I take to interviews. Immediately after the interview I take some notes and usually either return home or go to a coffee shop to write out the Thank You away from the interview location (or immediate vicinity). Even though I've gotten the business cards from the last…
The second bin is for drainage. My first, and second worm bins were rubbermaid totes of the same dimensions length and width, but of different depths. They stack in each other and I don't require a spacer. All of my vent holes in both containers (I recommend them on both so there isn't any suction keeping them…
I have a worm bin in my house. I keep a separate small tub for scraps that I let rot a bit before adding to the worm bin. One thing to be careful of if you keep it indoors is that you will have fruit flies in both bins. Normally this isn't a big deal as long as you take the bins outside before feeding your worms. …
I'm a big fan of Blogger. A lot of folks dismiss it out of hand thinking it is far too limited. If you stick with the basic templates they have available to start , yes it can be limiting, but I found that Blogger is much more flexible than people realize. I like they have a mobile version you don't even have to…
Toshiba Thrive gets my vote.
Oooo! Do you know where i can buy an electric toothpick?
I agree that superglue or simple epoxy would probably get the job done just as easily. As far as being cheap instead of frugal or only cost effective if your time has no value: not all toothpastes are available in travel sizes. Even if they were, there is no guarantee it is available easily. Instead of hunting…
I was in a plane that had reported this same failure. We had to stay up in the air an extra hour to burn off fuel. This was a short commuter hop. I'd imagine on a longer flight they'd prefer to burn extra fuel en route. Also, just because there was a reported hydraulic failure, it doesn't mean there actually was…
"I'm not sure where you stick the giant SD card, but the built-in tripod sure is handy." Tripod...really? The author must be fairly intimate, and impressed, with the guy who made this. Bipod I could understand, but Tripod? Must be pretty impressive.
There are several apps for smartphones that can take care of some loyalty cards. In my experience the iphone was bad for being able to have barcode scanners read the barcodes, but my new Galaxy II works just fine.
Saving money is important when dining out, but should not be the all-important goal. If it was, cook for yourself!
I agree. I hate it when the credit card slip has the taxes figured out for me (in case I couldn't do the math) and they always have it figured on the post-tax amount.
The disposable razor, in my experience, isn't a big risk to cutting the fabric, but it does actually shave the fabric. We used these razors to shave down our berets when I was in the Air Force. No self-respecting 1C4 would have a fuzzy beret.
I've worked as a Camp Nurse for a couple of years and I found that Benadryl helps a bit with the pain relief and more with the itching.
In a word: Yes. Many jobs get an overwhelming number of applicants and the first step to getting hired isn't so much making it to the interview, but surviving the first or second cull of applications, especially if the employer is taking physical resumes. Larger companies with HRIS already have a computer stacking…
