Probably the only “good” thing about the Oklahoma City bombing was that it mostly knocked the OJ Simpson trial out of the news. :-/

At one point I tried to start writing some things down, figuring I would leave it for my grandkids, if I ever have any. But it just kind of petered out, and I haven’t written anything for months. It got to be too much. How many times can I write, “I just can’t f*ing believe this”?
I’m not a fan of giblets in dressing, but my mom likes it that way. The last two times I’ve brought the dressing for Thanksgiving, I chopped some dried mushrooms (I think I even used three different kinds last time), and put them in the dressing. By the time it’s ready, they’ve absorbed enough liquid that they have…
We’re almost the same age; I’ll share my 1966 Doritos with you. I don’t remember Doritos from when I was young. We always had Indian Corn Chips at our house back then (http://www.inthe80s.com/food/indiancornchips0.shtml). They were better than Fritos.
From what I’ve read, Mastercard and American Express prohibit most businesses from charging transaction fees. Some states prohibit them for all credit cards, too.
That way madness lays.
I like KFC first, although it’s close with Popeye’s. If only Popeye’s seasoned the thing (normal, not spicy), it would be best. It’s got great crunch on the outside, juicy on the inside...but it’s really bland. I know I could get spicy, but that’s not what I want. KFC’s is almost as crunchy and juicy (so long as it’s…
I think it’s mainly the fries. Maybe the pickled veggies, too. I’ve had shawarma that only had cucumber pickles or even just tomato and onion on it. The first time I ever had shawarma, though, was when I visited Dubai. It had multiple pickled veggies and fries on it, and it was delicious. I’ve gathered that it’s a pret…
They look like neither to me, but like electroluminescent maybe?
Same for me, the first shot I did not feel at all. The second one I could feel, but I can’t honestly say it hurt, not even like a pinch. My arm was sore for about a day and half after each one, but not excessively so. I don’t always do well with needles; there have been a couple of times in my life when I was *this*…
Giardiniera is great on shawarma. I really like Dubai-style with the seasoned chicken, pickled veggies (hence the giardiniera), fries (yes in the sandwich), and garlic sauce. I’m making some this weekend, if I get enough of a break in the rain here in downstate IL to grill the chicken. Or if not, I guess I could just…
Nobody’s sharing my creme brulee! I’ve made it a few times, and it’s not hard, so I don’t know why I don’t do it more often. My wife doesn’t actually like it that well, so I don’t have the sharing conflict. :)
Naw, it really adds nice crunch to a sandwich. I like to add them to something like a cold turkey sandwich, if I can. Heck, Bobby Flay’s signature burger is the “crunchburger” with potato chips on it.
No, the Pfizer
It’s possible it could last a long time. It's just to soon to tell. I think most of the experts think we'll need boosters at some point.
It’s not known yet. I think a recent study showed it normally lasts at least 6 months.
Her? I’m not sure. Our other cat, that’s the only thing he ever says. :)
We adopted a long-haired tortoise shell from my brother-in-law last year. She’s beautiful, but also a total diva. She jumped up on the bed yesterday morning, and my wife (speaking for her in a queenly voice) said, “You may pet me now.”
I was similar, arm somewhat sore for about a day and half after both shots. After the second, both my wife and I felt not awful, but kind of wiped out and with some muscle pain the next day. Felt fine the day after that. With my flu shot in the fall, my arm was very sore for a whole week! I think it may have something…
