Along those lines, I read once that in the U.S. it’s often a good idea to get California olive oil instead of imported, because it’s likely to be much fresher, and so more tasty. For a while I’ve been buying California Olive Ranch oil, because it’s easy to find here in the Midwest, and it’s quite good I think, with

Hey, SDAC stickers on the back window! The thing about this van is that pretty much all the hard work of converting it has already been done.

A couple of years ago when McD’s changed the burger patties, Quarter Pounders got really good again. They taste as good as they did when we got them back in the 70's on Saturdays after our 4th-grade basketball games. I usually get just a “Quarter ham” (no cheese), although the deluxe is good, too.

What’s with all the cheese on these fish sandwiches in the first place?!? Cheese doesn’t belong on a fish sandwich.

For me the bread should be toasted. Other than that, creamy peanut butter and just about any preserved fruit spread product is good.

The heart wants what the heart wants? I mean, I appreciate good pasta; I made ravioli from scratch over the holidays, filled with the leftover duxelles from the beef Wellington I made for Christmas dinner. It was good. But sometimes I want a Quarter Pounder or an Arby’s roast beef or a can of Chef Boyardee ravioli.

My initial reaction is that it looks like the bottom of some kind of paper bag scarecrow face? And the blue is the bottom of the nose.

One thing to watch out for is over-marinating it with something that’s going to break down the meat too much. The last time I made a pork tenderloin I did this, and it had a pretty unpleasant pasty texture on the outside.

Yes, it did replace the old one. I had one of the new ones on Friday, and it was extremely underwhelming and disappointing. I’d put it at the very bottom of my fast food chicken sandwich list. :( I like KFC’s Crispy Colonel with honey bbq, maybe followed in a tie by Popeye’s and Wendy’s. Any of those is at least twice

I’ll be 55 this month. I don’t go out of my way to buy it at the store, but on those days when I don’t have time or just really don’t want to go out for lunch, I’ll buy the Chef’s ravioli from the kiosk in the break room and have that for lunch, maybe with a V8 for 2 servings of veggies and a full day’s supply of

I’ve learned a lot of disturbing things about my friends and family and neighbors in the past few years. :-/

That makes sense. I mean, that’s just essentially Oreo filling, isn’t it?

Wow, he’s husbanding wrong. I usually try to keep a small chocolate stash around for when my wife craves it. We’ve been married for almost 36 years now!

We’ve had a litter box like that for years, and while it’s not perfect, it is a very great help. You do usually end up having to bang on it after you roll it over to loosen clumps from the side, but all-in-all it works pretty well.

This Sunday on The Food That Built American on the History Channel, the episode is about American cheese.

Their brisket, when it’s not too dried out or anything, is very good for a fast food sandwich. I get it with no mayo or cheese, though, ‘cause those don’t belong on brisket!

The topless Consulier looks a bit nicer I think. This one belongs to an acquaintance...

Ooo, got to see an Ultima on the track during One Lap in 2006. Probably one of the fastest looking street-legal cars there that year, and finished well, too, at 6th overall.

Gotta give you a star for that, since I’m still driving mine! I bought it new with 2 miles on it, and just passed 232K. Such a fun little car! Mine...

My first car was a ‘76 Pacer, passed down to me from my grandfather in about 1982, and I still kinda want another one. It was a car ahead of its time.
