Reasonably well. I haven’t been extremely gentle, having it on the track a little for several years, but it’s still growling along. It’s got some upgraded suspension components, Mopar’s Stage 2 turbo upgrade kit with a slightly bigger-than-stock turbo, a custom exhaust, and a few other bits. I also added factory Neon c

For the first time in over 30 years, we bought a Ford last year, a used 2016 Fusion for my wife to drive. It’s a really nicely equipped SE with the 2.0L turbo (I’ve been a pro-turbo guy for years). We really like this car a lot! There was that Jalopnik post the other day about bad interiors, but this Fusion has one of

Well, it’s already a fundamental tenant of Christianity that no one is perfect and nothing you can do makes you good enough. Although this seems rarely to be understood in fiction, which often portrays the idea of doing enough “good works” to get you into heaven.

Now that my kids are grown and I don’t have one, I miss having a minivan. Today if I need to get a sheet of plywood, or some bags of mulch, etc., I have to plan ahead to borrow my dad’s truck. I don’t think there’s any more practical vehicle than a minivan.

Gen X is forgotten. I mean, we didn’t even get a name. Gen “X”. It seems like people are always talking about Boomers and Millennials, but Gen X? “I don’t know her.”

It reminds me of what my dad used to say about grass growing like crazy in the gravel lane, and refusing to grow in places in the yard even when planted and watered.

Speaking of jelly, some kind of jelly or jam is great on a grilled cheese. I like cheddar and raspberry.

This year was 34 for us (we were 18 and 19—babies!). It worked for us, but we didn’t encourage our kids to marry that young. I can really relate to what you’ve said. We moved back to our hometown several years ago to take care of our aging parents. My wife has been taking both of her parents to treatments and followup

You mentioned herbs. I really like a bit of thyme in beef stew.

Okay, how bad was this: A few years ago when my daughter was in high school, she and I stopped at a restaurant, and there was only one table occupied, totally empty otherwise. When the hostess said, “Sit anywhere you like,” I replied, “I want to sit where they’re sitting.” My daughter really loved that, I can tell

If you’re using the EasyPrivacy list in UBlock Origin, I just found that’s what was breaking it for me.

I’m from the general St. Louis area, and I can’t stand Provel. It’s not just the texture, it has a weird taste, too.

Ours was up to 849 about 4 years ago, but the process of refinancing our line of credit dropped it by about 20 points, and it’s pretty much stayed there since. I think our oldest account is from 1992, so maybe in a couple of years that will help.

I had to look up what a Tim Tam was.

Eh, since the Series 1 had a GM engine, I’m willing to allow it here.

Wow. We have a 16 lb. cat who seems huge. It’s hard to imagine one almost twice as big!

I just finished eating some of that saltine toffee that a co-worker brought today (except that she used graham crackers). It is dangerously good. Very sweet, though. I had to wash it down with coffee.
