I kept my trusty ol’ Nexus 5 for 4 years, eventually running Lineage OS on it, which was great. It ran better than it ever did with stock Android on it, even. I’ll probably keep my Pixel 3 for quite a while, too, as it’s a very nice device.

This reminds me of a time at a previous job when a co-worker threw out a perfectly good fresh Mardi Gras king cake, because she thought the green sugar on it was mold. :-/ I admit that I wasn’t at the time familiar with king cake myself, but at least I didn’t think it was moldy!

It does mention right in that article that Sanders is also a claimant for inventing it.

Some freshly grated nutmeg would be a good addition, too. I’ve made soup very like this, but with with roasted butternut squash flesh instead of the canned pumpkin.

Man, tough choice. Just about everything mentioned is good, except that I don’t really like my coffee black. I use a fair amount of cream and sugar.

Yours sounds pretty good. I was going to berate you for the lack of chickpeas, but you have the green peas on there, so that’s okay. I always like to put a fair amount of some kind of legume, usually either chickpeas or kidney beans. They’re healthy and add a different texture to the salad. Beans and olives are the

I do question whether the flavor of Cheez-Its is very artificial. My daughter has noted that if you griddle some cheddar and make a nice crisp tuile, it tastes almost exactly like a Cheez-It.

Noodles and pasta aren’t really the same thing, so I don’t expect them to substitute for one another. I would never expect the 10-cent version of ramen noodles we’re talking about to be like homemade linguine in some delicious sauce. But I do sometimes just want a quick and easy lunch, and a packet of ramen noodles

(Sorry, just catching up with The Skillet after being on vacation.) I think the best salad I’ve ever had is, incredibly, available now at any Wendy’s: their apple pecan salad with grilled chicken. It’s not only a good fast food salad, it’s a good salad period. I’ve thought about this salad way too much :) , but it’s pe

Also not a problem if you have a turntable in your microwave.

Twice. Once in town (small town of population 14K or so) I was behind a Buick sedan going about 20. They started weaving around a bit, and eventually jumped the curb and knocked down and ran a stop sign. I called 911, and the cops were able to stop them a few blocks later. I’m pretty sure the driver had a stroke or

It’s 220mg in the noodles and 660mg in the seasoning packet for the one I was just looking at.

Tons, but most of it is probably in the seasoning packet, which you can leave out. You could probably substitute low-sodium bullion cubes or granules.

My mom likes surprise parties, and I knew she would plan something for my 30th birthday. Although she lived 700 miles away at the time, a few days before my birthday I went to the local grocery store’s bakery and asked if they had a cake order for (my last name). They did! I had printed out and laminated a sign that

I feel you. “What can I make with stuff I can buy at Walmart? Because it’s the only grocery store left in town.” :-/ Pretty often I make a play on a poke bowl for lunch with smoked salmon, rice, avocado, and lime from Walmart. That said, I do have some good stuff in my pantry like saffron and bonito flakes, because I

Hey, I live 4 hours south of Chicago! I’m not too far from where I57 and I64 cross.

Not quite the same thing, but I once had a group of co-workers who created an entire pizza restaurant that only existed to Google. It had a logo, menu, photos, reviews, and was located in the parking lot of the company we worked for.

Interesting! I’m an American who was in Europe last week, and my wife thought the eggs were underdone. My dad was, and still is, one of those poor people who order steaks well done. I’m glad I learned better when I grew up!

One thumb up. With the other he'd be grabbing it by the...I dunno, I failed alien biology.

Maybe we’re talking about different things. I’m talking about the woman who happens to look a little like Warren, not Warren herself. Any news organization (or blog in this case) would likely need a release from her to publish her picture. Or at least, I doubt they would risk publishing without one.
