Colour me biased, but I like it. Never understood the red and yellow bubbles, and I like clean lines. They can drop the tagline, though.

That only validates my decision to leave it alone. Sad, really, as I got it for review purposes - but had to ask another reviewer to do the job, as I couldn’t progress and therefore not write many positive things about it.

I would normally agree, but since I accidentally acquired this game and cannot progress past the first boss, I would personally LOVE a save-spot just before the bosses. I know, it interfers with the vision, but right now, I only get 1/12 of the value of this game - and it will never improve. Git gud? I’m too old (51).

Correct. Sure, these games have grind, but the are also beautiful and fun to traverse and just experience. The three latest Assassin games has only improved on the last game, and I have also put in more than a 100 hours on Valhalla. And I hate grind. so *something* must Ubisoft be doing right :)

“Whether you play our games for 30 minutes or a two-hour session, what you will get is always interesting content and a gratifying experience”

In the previous 990 comments someone probably also mentioned Sanity’s Requiem, which is also part of my favorites for the console. Should I name only one game, I think I would still say Metroid Prime, as it was - and is - an absolute masterpiece that opened up the Metroidvania genre to 3D.

My thoughts exactly. There is a lot of these stories on Youtube, if you go looking, and Noclip is a good place to start.

Yes, but only because his music is crap :)

Mine is on wifi since day one, and it just works. I have both 2,4 and 5 ghz networks running in parallet, and IPv6 is enabled in my router. My son reports similar results, and he is on another floor than the wireless router, so the issue’s not connected with a weak antenna (in my humble opinion). As someone said: It’s

Welltris! Damn, I played that game so much, I dreamt about dropping blocks for several weeks. Also created by Pajitnov, and also extremely addictive. Damn those Russians! :)

Platinum’ed Valhalla in 185 hours. Best. Time. Spent. Ever.

Totally agree. Sure, some of the exclusive games might be using console-specific features, but when games like Valhalla can look and play brilliantly on both new and older consoles, why not hit a wider audience? I used to have all the different consoles, but space only permits one in the living room right now, so I

Not trying to sound too smart, but the lack of antialiasing on the vertical part of the P was always a telltale sign for me. And it always annoyed me, that they didn’t just draw it in 2D, as it looked unfinished.

A few cairns was nigh impossible, and I’m not usually the Platinum- hunting gamer, but I managed them all. 185 hours sunk in this game, and I love it. I usually spend less than half that amount in any game, but Valhalla kept me going.

We are among the lucky ones, it seems. I have spent wonderful 180 hours to reach the end and the Platinum trophy, and I only encountered some bad lip sync and a single side mission, that didn’t start properly - so I did something else and came back to it later.

What a sad, deluded young man. To think he is a part of the generation, that is supposed to take care of us, when we grow older...? I think we can forget about him looking out for others than himself. It’s what I’ve always said: Greed and religion is tearing the world apart.

30 hours? Your guy must have been running through the mountains like a girl crossing the large hall at a Comicon!

It’s subjective, I know, and I don’t usually like or complete games of that extreme length, but it just played nicely into my Christmas vacation. I still prefer the 45 hours of Black Flag, which just about stopped, when the grinding began to annoy :)

Normally, I would agree, but weirdly enough, I don’t feel the grind in this particular game. I’ve spent 140 hours so far and is close to finishing it, but it never felt too long to me. In my book, only Black Flag is a better AC game, and I have throughly enjoyed my time in Mercia.
