You can beat most of the game on the two lowest difficulties (out of three) alone, as there is a lot of checkpoints in each area. The 20th level, however, will not be something to tackle alone. All in all, if you want some of the Legendary weapons, you need to grind - and to do it with team mates.
Tastes differ, but I found Alienation both a different beast to - and better than - Helldivers. That’s not saying it is for everybody, but the more action oriented flow of Alienation (without having to think about setting sentry guns etc. like in Helldivers) just appeals more to me. And, boy, the explosions is nice :)
Yeah, but when? I’ve had the good fortune of reviewing this game, but on a scale from 1-6, I can only give it a 4 when it’s online-only and quite the grind when you are alone. that grade could easily hav ebeen a 5, had I been able to play it co-op with my sons in the couch. As my review goes live tomorrow, I have to…
The first WipEout was also supported (as was the the next three games in the series), and that was the only way to get any kind of analog steering for the unforgiving racer. I tested it then with a possible purchase in mind, but I had to go back to purely digital steering, as I was too trained with the normal…
I’d love to say Dirt Rally, but it’s just SO hard! Luckily, I had the good fortune of getting a review code for Alienation, and that’s a blast! I can easily recommend that to twin-stick shooter fans and fans of Dead Nation (from the same developers). It releases in a week’s time or so, but I’m guessing one of you guys…
I’m so looking forward to being his bitch again! Hopefully, it’ll hurt less second time around...
There’s not going to be a used digital games market, as I see it. Only reason anyone would buy these games from you for store credit, is because they expect you to put down more to buy other games.
One of the fattest manuals to ever grace a (PS1) game was the one included with the first WipEout (EU version). Man, that was a hefty thing that was more than a centimeter thick, which was quite a lot considering the allround size of a PS1 game cover.
I know what you mean - I’d kill for a new Lode Runner ;)
Damn straight! It might be a bad business decision for a developer not to release a demo, but it is HIS decision and his alone.
I love lamp. I love lamp.
I LOVE LAMP!
15 years already, eh? Damn. I never completed it, but it’s still in my (prized) posession, as I am a huge Clive Barker fan. Especially his Books of Blood, which is horror’s answer to Bradbury’s Illustrated Man :)
Oh, but there is. Sorry. ...And you’re gonna LOVE a fair bunch of the visual puzzles as well then. Especially the ones which involve a moving boat ;)
Call it cheating, but I followed the procedure, whereby I solved most of the puzzles quickly and then took a picture with my camera of the later puzzle, froze the PS4 in standby mode, solved the puzzle offline and the awoke my PS4 to continue. That way time stands still, while my brain works.

Ha, that just goes to show that taste is individual: At first sight, I thought “finally a nice looking special edition PS4" :) Perhaps it’s because I’m colourblind, but I rather like the (for me) subdued look.
You might be right, now that I think of this particular puzzle. But for the rest of them (isolate figures of same colour and such), they certainly could have put a small sign on the figure, just like Taito did in Puzzle Bobble/Bust a Move. That was genius, and one of the main reasons I played that game to death…
Hey, that’s what wives are for! :) And believe me, I owe her big time for having to come into the living room, every time I’m playing, and tell me which colours are different/the same.
