I understand you completely, but I will only consider the switch to digital, when the distributors (Sony, MS, Nintendo) makes sure the digital versons are cheaper than the physical ones. Especially considering, it’s mine forever with no trading options.

My thoughts exactly. Shaun of the Dead is still the best Pegg movie in my book. But together with The World’s End, they are all a nice “WTF trilogy” of action/comedies, where Pegg/Frost shines in their performances.

Certainly. Every list is the owner’s own, and I have no problems with people making lists, even if I disagree. Each to their own and let’s all be friends and all that :)

Agreed. Why someone would “fucking hate this trailer” (Gears of War) is beyond me. Especially compared to quite a few of the other generic CGI-trailers on the above list (...says subjective me). At least Gears of War doesn’t go on forever and has a surprise ending.

Just like the time, when every 2D game with a spaceship and simulated gravity was a a combination of something and “Thrust”, sigh.

Actually, the Japanese and European cover image for both Castlevania and Ico was the same, so I cannot complain :) Those covers were/are brilliant, and luckily they are not the only occurences of JAP/EU covers bearing the same image. Why the NA market repeatedly required other covers, I still don’t understand. It’s as

Putting Ico, Shadow of the Colossus, Resident Evil 4 and Klonoa 2 on the front row of the PS2 shelf earns you a lot of respect. And the same goes for the PS1 Castlevania and Metal Gear Solid. I had to import some of these from the US (I’m from Denmark), and my kids will have to pry them from my dead, cold hands if

Nice idea, but would it have been too much to ask of him to place the camera a bit more directly above the magazines? Even though this “walkthrough” perhaps wasn’t meant to be more than a gimmick and a fun bit of nostalgia, as a viewer I sure would have loved the opportunity to pause on a few of the pages and dwell a

Too many games, too little time :) Besides, I’ve played the majority of the 200-250 games I own for my PS3, so it was time to move on... But, yeah, a great console with great games.

You bet. It’s already on my list, when they release it on PS4, as I’ve retired my PS3 :)

I’ve “only” played AC1, AC2, AC3, Black Flag and Unity, but the best one in my opinion is Black Flag. Sure, the series as a whole impressed immensely with AC1, but Black Flag is the only (I’ve played), that didn’t feel like a grind, and that’s the highest praise I can give it. And it’s the most diverse of them;

That’s not a prize, that’s torture. Perhaps I’m too old, but where do people get the time to complete games more than once - AND vaccuum everything up each time? I enjoyed the PS4 version and got all the Riddler trophies, but slap me silly if I have a desire to do it twice. I have other games (and some sort of life)

Perhaps it’s because I’m from Denmark and not aware of the normal practices of taking your car to a garage in th US, but HOW is it possible for anyone to blaim the owner? Cars cost approximately 3 times more in Denmark than in the most of the world due to taxes, so we know EVERYTHING about trying to shave pennies of

I you haven’t already, then do yourself a favour and seek out the full show. It’s one of my favorites, up there with Eddie Murphy’s “Delirious” and Robin Williams first two shows.

Yup, he was part of the ensemble behind “Not the nine o’clock news” with other notable British comedians Mel Smith and Griff Rhys Jones - a british sketch show from my youth. They always ended the show with a musical number, and this is actually my favorite of the bunch! :)

Saw the headline, immediately said “Dark Forces” to myself. Had you said otherwise, I’d have given up Kotaku for good :) Man, that game really blew me away, and it was light years ahead the competion, both in varied FPS gameplay and in mood/plot.

I agree wholeheartedly, and I usually do not put down any money for virtual window dressing, be it themes, avatars or skins in games. BUT! I still bought a couple of themes, since I was a big fan of the games (and no preview on Youtube was available). What can I say? I’ve learned the hard way...

Now playing

No music as I recall, and since the normal button sounds are so generic, I disabled sound completely. But it is gorgeous to have running in the backgrund, and all the needed info is visible (use black shadow on text).

The PS3 version has the same options to invert camera and aim as PS2, so that’s not an issue.
