Just re-cast Robert Downey Jr. as the entire crew of the Enterprise, AND the villain, and voila, megahit bluckbuster extreme. Throw a little Vin Diesel in there as a secondary plot device character, and we just might have the Star Trek: The Chronicles of Tokyo Nebula Drift that we've all been asking for.

Yeah SciFi's version was better. But I got into an argument with another commenter on here once about why he felt Lynch's was superior to the miniseries. I can't disagree more, but fans will be fans.

I'm surprised that no one has posted this classic. Still very readable and poignant today.

Oh no. I was only joking. I decided on the story before the font thing. I absolutely appreciate your compliment. I had more of a purpose than just font play.

Thanks! I really just wanted an excuse to interchange Bold and Italics.

They somehow vaporized the Humans, but were still able to recover their bodies. Plot hole. Oh well, too late to edit. Pretend that the word vaporize is just synonymous with plain old killing. You know how aliens are with their confusing dialects.

In your own words Captain 1134-A, please recite for the record, the orders of your recent farflight mission to Galaxy 4G-76. Also dubbed—by your crew—as the "Milky Way".

I'm along with all of the other fans when I say I too love TWoK. However, I am always one for criticizing the media I consume. Too many of us just blindly stick to stories that we love, and therefore fail to dispute or analyze the integrity of them. I think the article you wrote is spot-on. You point out all of the

Can we just get a whole feature-length film done in this style? The game may end up lacking, but damn that trailer looked terrific.

SPOILER-ISH?

It isn't bad. The entire experience was awesome.

I've never known a person to like VIII without harboring a certain degree of criticism. I've never known a person to blindly love it. Myself included.

Calling it terrible would be an overstatement. The game was okay as far as FFs go, but it wasn't terrible. I'd take it over the FF XIII games any day.

As much as I have always loved TWoK, I just read this guy's analysis of the movie, and he's totally on point about all of the film's issues. It doesn't diminish the movie in my eyes, but he also isn't wrong. It's weird.

You just have to look at the movie ratings to know things aren't going to be as good in the sequels. The original had an R rating. Everything after was PG13. Which equals less fun.

The oceans had risen to uninhabitable levels. The atmosphere had become harsh and destructive. The only way to the moon colony was through the relentless slaughter of the Tongu Octopi. No one said it was humane, but their armor-like flesh was the only thing remaining capable of protecting the escape ships for the

Why, the domed city of Logan's Run, of course. There are too many great shots of this 70s retro-mod-future utopia/dystopia to choose from, so I'll just settle on this great shot of a robed Michael York in his swanky future pad.

This article bears reading for the bizarre interview with the creative director alone. He seemed pretty skiddish on the whole thing.

What's your point? I was commenting on Rob's statement about VW's Darth Vader Kid vs. this Audi commercial's use of Spock.
