CJ, what cars do you have in your personal garage, in addition to your P1?

That’s awesome! I drove a friends Jeep with a similar power-to weight ratio, and I had to stir the gears pretty hard to get around town, I bet I-79 is an adventure. I just signed up for the event this month and they made a liar out of me, it’s Saturday instead of Sunday.
Well now I’m curious, what model do you own?
My car is definitely far from exotic (2012 Camaro SS with a few modifications) but I do get comments pretty frequently, and they all fall into the same few categories:
I’d like to see something similar to this, but with a twist. The Corvette team seems pretty content where they are, but you know who could use a total world dominating car? Cadillac. Since Cadillac is making a legitimate effort into being taken seriously as a peer to the European brands, taking overall victory in…
the dash to axle distance in the sketch is significantly longer than the production 200, and long enough for it to be a rwd based car, which the 200 is not. They’re styled very similarly, but I don’t think it's badge engineering.
You should get an Abarth. Granted, with 160 hp, it’s not rocket, but if you’re tooling along in 3rd gear, at, say, 2500 rpm, and want to pass someone, and rather than instantly climbing onto the boost, you wait for it, wait fo-there it is! Then you can fart off into the sunset at speed.
I came here to post this as well. There were a couple of pretty good deals on 2014s when I was shopping, but I stuck to the used market and picked up a ‘12 instead. The post-refresh look just doesn’t do it for me like early ones.
Believe me, for every transportation engineer who retires or passes away, there are plenty more students sleeping their way through transportation classes.
So...did no one look at this idea and think huh, maybe I should take half a day and throw it in Synchro 7, and see what happens? Surely they have traffic volume data for Ocean Avenue and its cross streets. It would be an interesting situation to look at, and find some alternative safety measures for besides just…
t have taken a dual clutch over it, even if it had been an option. I was just saying that requiring a handbrake to slide a powerful rwd car in the snow is unnecessary.
It has 455 hp and lb-ft...if you can’t get it to slide in the snow without a handbrake, it's probably your problem.
For a car that didn’t get appreciably smaller? Yes, that is an achievement.
It would suck to see the most basic car lose power compared to the 2015 cars, although we also don’t know what the production output will be. I’m also guessing (and that’s all we can really do at this point) that Chevy will structure the model line-up a little differently than Ford. With other models, like the Impala,…
GM didn’t neuter a perfectly good engine in an attempt to make room for a meh-four cylinder turbo? Ford’s 2.3 makes impressive numbers, but it really does run out of steam when you push it. The V6 Mustang is a sadly missed opportunity. I rode with my friend as he test drove a manual V6 ‘15 Mustang, and it’s a sweeter,…
The new car should weigh in the same ballpark as an ATS, which I’ve driven with the 2.0T, and while a proper V8 will leave it for dead, it’ll be plenty quick for everyday use, and a lot of customers. It should embarrass a BRZ, especially around town.
There’s a program in WV called WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) that strictly limits what you can get (I.e. 1 18 oz. Container of peanut butter) and I think that something like that could be expanded to include those on welfare that have children who are still developing. When I worked at a grocery store near a…
Possibly supercharged?
Tell me about it! I bought my Camaro used from a Dodge dealership, and there was a Scat Pack in the showroom beside the salesman’s desk. When I came back a few days later to sort out a problem (bad wheel bearing) he was leasing the Challenger, and started/revved it form me. Those cars sound downright offensive, and…
three off the top of my head, a BB&T, a Citi, and...whatever that tiny drive-through only one beside the Advance is.
