I agree with most of this, but the idea that some opinions don't deserve to be heard just make the people who have those opinions dig in their heels, and they do have a good counterargument (FURST AMENDMENENENT!!!one!). I'd like to offer my preferred argument:

I'd like to note something, and I'd like to make it clear up front that I am not saying that internet trolls and Hitler are remotely the same thing in any way, shape, or form. I am making a point that "ignore the bully" can be a very bad and unhealthy response.

LOL

Truly a pandora's box. I vastly prefer the cast of P4, because I connected on some level with every member of the cast of P4. In P3, I connected with Koromaru, Aigis, and somewhat Yukari, I understood but hated Junpei, and every other character was nothing more than a cheese grater to the eardrums.

If you just start with 4: you are missing a good game, but very little story-wise. There are some minor tie ins, that get more important in the P4 Arena fighting games, but nothing important in the grand scheme.

It has quieted some people down, certainly. And it has made far more people way more apparent, because they don't care about anonymity, and the removal of anonymous makes the real people that much more visible. Meanwhile, where anonymity does exist, it can provide some real beneficial effects.

Here is where the trolling gets obvious.

"I haven't heard 'slut' since day one, and that was like one person. I'm really not kidding."

The assumption that he loved her is the worst thing about this.

They hit Live too. It just isn't the same severity, or getting the same coverage. Probably because of the sales.

If "something like this" has happened to them in real life, then there's good reason for trauma. If not, then trauma not so much, but there's certainly reason to be pissed.

Oh, you could've just said you wanted to yell about MOBAs. Carry on.

He posted a list showing which 11 of the last 18 releases were not OP at launch.

For the analogy to make sense, it would have to be a normally non-violent multiplayer game, with other people as the victims, and no recourse but to give up their game. If you hacked, say, Toontown to enable murdering other players, with no way for them to respond/retaliate/run except to stop playing? Then yes, you

I've dropped my iPhone on concrete at least half a dozen times. There are cracks running down the back of it, underneath the case, but the screen is pristine. It's just luck.

I've never seen the whole fight before, just the moment. That was beautiful.

Agreed. I'm glad he stayed civil and I calmed the fuck down further down the thread.

Fair enough. But at that point, the only way to opt out is to quit entirely. Then, a significant portion of the game they payed for, and which they have a right to enjoy, cannot be played without them consenting to being fucked with impunity. They either consent, or they have wasted their money on a rape simulator

No shit.

Honestly, I'll take broken Steamworks over functional GFWL any day. And I'm console more than PC. GFWL is just that shitty.
