But surely they have to eat meat/fish, etc? (I mean really, they HAVE to)

Well there was Bureaucracy, which wasn't really a sequel to HHGTTG but unfortunately was the only other game he did with Infocom. (Unless you mean Milliways? But that was never finished... )
It's a different game. Try it on World of Spectrum's java emulator then compare it to the flash version the BBC already have up & it should be fairly obvious. As far as I can remember no Infocom games where ever released for the Spectrum, although the +3 would probably have been able to manage them ok.
Ok, I've downloaded & installed it & it runs really badly on the Win7 1.6ghz netbook I'm using atm. Anyone got any ideas on how to configure it to improve performance?
You can report trolls to help@gawker.com or email the articles author with the addresses on this page.
No problem. Good luck.
I'm only a user and have no power or authority, but you could post stuff to your personal blog page with the #observationdeck tag, so it shows up here: http://kinja.com/tag/observatio… where it'll usually be seen and crossposted to the observationdeck proper. I think the tptb check the observationdeck pretty regularly…
The search box is at the bottom of the top-bar drop down menu that looks like three horizontal bars, similar to one you might have seen on Android. Although to be honest the internal search was never that great, you might be better off using google with something like site:io9.com cats (or whatever).
Well, there was the Pippin: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple_Ban… which apparently cost $599 at launch. Bit obscure and a complete failure though, to be honest I only heard of it from browsing sites about old systems: http://www.old-computers.com/
The Telegraph (and a few other places) have a transcript. It starts: "Artillery observer at 'K' Sector, Normandy. Requested headquarters supplement report. Panzer attack - blitz. West Artillery Observer Tracking Attack." (assuming it's right anyway)

You should. Black Orchid was quite nice as well, as where Signal to Noise & his issues of Hellblazer. (in their own way, different art styles though) Then when you're done with them maybe have a go at Cages and explain it to me. (it's been a while but it was an odd book)
There are copies on [amazon.co.uk] & [play.co.uk] but they're pal region two. (and a little expensive) He probably wants ntsc region one. At a guess. (although the amazon copy says all regions... )
Managed to miss this when it was on, so I'm watching it now.
There's always Stott Hall Farm in the middle of the M62 as well, but that's nowhere near as extreme as this. (It rang a bell and I thought (when I checked) it was because he refused to move, but apparently not. Ah well)
I never read topless robot. What are you into? Specifically? (film, tv, comics (marvel/dc? Dark Horse, Image, Fantagraphics, Various Indy, etc...), books, etc)
Same here. Proxmate (chrome/firefox extension) unblocked it for me.
What about the river Yangtze? Was that noisier 200 years ago? [wikipedia.org/Baiji] (I know it's about the ocean but I read Last chance to see a couple of weeks ago so it's on my mind. Might not be relevant... )
