Oh come on, cats are cats. Fur colour has nothing to do with anything, apart from the fact that around 75% of ginger cats are male & aparently most tortoiseshells are female. [guardian.co.uk] Basically people are stupid, which is probably why black cats seem to have a harder time getting adopted.
And according to [newscientist.com] "In 1968, physicist Freeman Dyson suggested sending his proposed Project Orion spacecraft to the star system. He envisioned it as being powered by the shockwaves from a series of nuclear explosions. Travelling at just over 3 per cent of the speed of light, it would have required…
According to this BBC4 documentary from a few years ago the airforce took over the project then it slowly changed into a military system as they tried justify its continued funding. This made certain people wary then it was basically dropped due to concerns over fallout & an atmospheric nuclear test ban treaty.
I think it's around 40,000 years. [space.com]
Well I'm sure you know more about the subject than I do, the Guardian article was the first one to come up when I looked for information about what siempre44 was talking about, it mentioned the Mail and I trust the Guardian more than them. I'm not a climatologist so I just have to listen to people who know more about…
Citation? I live here and haven't heard anything about it.

(if you like it, maybe have a look for Violent Cases, Mr Punch & Dave McKean's Cages (then maybe come back & explain Cages to me… )) #johnscalzi #corydoctorow
Based on the pilot it's no Jeremiah & comparisons to Terra nova seem charitable.
You could set flash to click to play (on a site by site basis) so it only loads video's if you specifically ask it to. That worked for me in chrome and opera. No guaranties but it might be worth a shot.
Replying to something you said on io9's essential Judge Dredd article [io9.com], & doing it here for no good reason. (but partly because messaging is still down) I 'spose you know about kotakufix then and it doesn't work for you? (I mean I'd guess you do? [shrugs] ) Oh well...
I think I was born too soon.
Well if I'm reading it right this page:[voyager.jpl.nasa.gov] says it's headed in the direction of the constellation Ophiuchus and will pass within 1.6ly of AC+79 (which I think might be Gliese 445, 17.6lys away) in about 38,000 years. So, um... basically I think it's going the wrong way... (I was curious, but don't…
The bringer of old age. [laughs] #Goodnight :)
Was it this:[io9.com] for Veet?
Series 1 is (as far as I know, legally) on Daily motion & works in the Uk. Been meaning to watch it but haven't got round to it yet, I might now though.
Well I don't really know anything about macs (only used it on windows and Linux), but there should be an option on the menu for supported dictionaries where you can add to or select from them. Odd... [shrugs]

(V.)Stupid question, but have you got it set to Uk English?
