I was thinking a few thousand for a viable long term colony, but that’s not really based on anything, it’s just a guess. (did a quick search after I typed this & apparently some researchers now think at least 5000 - 10,000 is needed for an animal population, but not sure how that converts to humans on Mars) https://con…
Minor trivia sidenote, but the Githyanki were created by Charles Stross for White Dwarf magazine. (doesn’t really matter, I was just slightly surprised when I found out)
I think he might’ve been slightly misquoted in the interview...
Ok fair enough. (I might be wrong, but I think the shadow elves are the children of a group of elves that survived a cataclysm in the far, far distant past of their world thousands and thousands of years ago by going underground, but now want to return to the surface, but when they tried the surface elves tried to…
Like the Shadow Elves from the Becmi D&D Mystara setting?
Not sure about AD&D, but I’m fairly sure there are cavemen in the Hollow World in original D&D’s Mystara setting. (I think there might’ve been some in the X1 Isle of Dredd scenario as well)
Oops, I seem to have double posted. Sorry.

I’m sure most people who’re interested will have seen it, but saw a good documentary about this on BBC4 in 2004 & it’s worth a watch if you haven’t seen it.

Listened to the podcast version of this earlier today cause I’ve enjoyed ATC’s stuff in the past & I got a little emotional when I realised it was a /mostly/ true story. (apart from the time travel) What he went through with “everything” sounds horrific, but I’m glad he’s doing better now & hopefully will continue to…
Dreams past & his desires catching up to him & the consequences of that.
Gaiman has said s1 will be the first two books/16 issues but with the occasional change, so I’d guess maybe 4 eps for Preludes & Nocturnes & 5 for A Game Of You, which’d leave them with one ep to fit The Sound Of Her Wings & the issue that introduced Nada (unless he’s moved that to s2 just before Seasons of Mists?) htt…
Billi’s a female cat, but yes she’s often mad :)
Definitely that & it also reminded me a lot of parts of Fallout 4 were it just keeps repeating the same few bits of dialogue & playing the same 2 or 3 songs over & over (& over) again interminably cause I’m exploring/doing random quests & haven’t advanced the plot.
Also didn’t Marvel buy Malibu Comics several years before the Men in Black film came out, so isn’t MIB technically a Marvel film?
I was kind of wondering if he might be playing Jaime’s dad, but I’m not sure the ages line up & he’s old enough.
Listened to the podcast version of this a few days ago & I enjoyed it & I’d like to read other stuff by Shiv Ramdas, but when I looked him up he doesn’t seem to have written much, which is a shame. (downloaded a podcast of one of his short stories from Strange Horizons, but haven’t listened to it yet, but I will)
I know it’s a really small & probly trivial thing, but it’s “The Light & Darkness War” not “The Light and the Darkness” (sorry, it just seems important to get things right in someone’s obituary)
