I'm not a particularly cynical person, nor am I a huge Beyonce fan, but there are plenty of normal people who are assholes to people with disabilities. The main difference here is that Beyonce happened to have power because of her situation to give a gift that is greater than just regular old us being kind.

They have banned her book because they claim she is a "tool of the west" and that her book does not portray Islam positively. "I'm so sweaty. I hope nobody tries to hug me."

Not at all. My parents are working immigrants. However, my grandmother (from El Salvador) was a musician. She played guitar and sang. She died before I ever knew her, but my dad told me that growing up, she was tormented for being a woman and a musician. Over there, it just wasn't done. I take that to heart as a woman

This is not the correct expression for riding a jet ski.

I really, really doubts she cares that you don't approve.

So. Women of color and queer women have been pointing out the problems with "feminism" since forever, and it's a white dude's decision to go with "genderist" that makes you decide to write an article on how it's ok to not identify that way? Women who eschew the label are routinely held up as punching bags for you
