It's fine that that's YOUR preference. But when you start implying that all the men in the field are somehow perverted, it's pretty shitty.
See, now I can see where you're coming from.
I understand why women wouldn't be comfortable. I don't understand how people can say, "I do sometimes wonder why a man would want to become a gyno if not for the fact that he gets to look at naked women."
I'm a man, here are some thoughts on male body image...
Just turn it around for a second and imagine if I said in a comment that I didn't like female urologists or IMs seeing me because I don't feel comfortable about women's ability to be clinical and professional. Y'know, because they have LADY FEELINGS.
Some of these responses are making me mental. My male OB-GYN was wonderful (he just passed away). He was so wonderful during some pretty rough times for me, and the fact that some people on here are implying he is a patriarchal creepo? Fuck off, idiots.
When I had a cyst on my ovary bust, the attending OB-GYN in the ER was a young male. I was in so much pain that I didn't care who was looking at me — but guess what? He was respectful, considerate and very thorough in explaining everything that was going on and what steps I needed to take to prevent it from happening…
So should men not be pediatricians for female children then? This sort of argument can go down some pretty interesting roads.
Same reason that some women become urologists: the field is interesting to them. For many (most?) doctors it's purely clinical.
I swear it's not me – every sentence out of that man's mouth made no sense.
"I didn't want to risk my relationship with God and try to take that number," said Thacker.
I'm glad someone said this. If you're going to be irrational about a stone aged tribal desert deity who seemingly arbitrarily and whimsically punishes mankind, at least be right about the thing in your religion that is supposedly evil. But that would ya know, actually involve knowing some the history around the Bible…
IT'S NOT REAL. The number 666 is an error and it should be 616.
There is no such thing as "Asian" culture. Asia is home to 60% of the world's population.
I know, fuck me, right?
Runners are tough as shit. I used to coach men's and women's cross country at a small highschool so the teams trained together. The men were generally faster, so for our first 9 mile run I said the guys would have to run the whole way, but the women could turn around when they saw the first runner coming back their…
Just one white guys experience so read whatever you want into it: being a dude i dont get messaged too much on okc, but when i do the majority so far have been asian women.
The same people who thunderclap about a woman's right to own her own body have a helluva lot of a lot to say when a black woman straightens her hair for example.
