Was there a protest or something? Yeah, SEVERAL YEARS AGO.

I admit that I’m not going to watch this out of self-care. I grew up in a fundamentalist Christian church with patriarchal leanings. The Handmaid’s Tale might cause me to have a mental break and I’m not going to risk that. For me, it is too real. I know the people that want to take us back.

I have a friend who was born without a hand. A guy broke up with her because “watching her struggle” with one hand was too hard for him. Poor pookie.

“Sorry for helping” line was my favorite.

Several men have commented that they don’t have an interest in watching it because “it seems really feminist.” NO SHIT! And that why you should watch it and then come at me with your “this couldn’t really happen” bs so I can take you down.

My dad and I have been arguing over email because he just doesnt think it’s realistic at all. I have decided to do the mature thing and give him the silent treatment half our of spite and half out of self-care.

Oh god this kind of statement bothers me sooo much. They always say shit like that while doing absolutely nothing to change things, even in their own lives.

I think someone in the writers room saw Into the Woods a few too many times and they decided to make him sing in everything regardless. Singing aside, I found Chris Pine to be pretty goofy and winning, honestly one of the better episodes this season.

More than one man has commented to me that he couldn’t stand to watch HMT because he didn’t like seeing the mistreatment of women. Huh!

Chris Pine’s hosting duties on Saturday Night Live this week gave him plenty of opportunities to play to his wheelhouse of “Star Trek Captain” and “Fratty Douche,”

I watched the original interview and the article leaves out that all of this was said in a very light-hearted and facetious manner. He wasn’t seriously complaining about not being recognized. He was joking about it. I have fairly neutral opinions regarding Bacon but the article sort of misrepresents the interview.

We are a plague.

When you’re living a hand-to-mouth existence, extinction of a species is an abstract concept. Also, boner pills.

Thanks, Ellie, for bringing attention to a very important issue and an incredible person!

Well, if you would have stopped PICKING THE FUCKING RAIDERS EVERY DAMN TIME then maybe it would have never come to that!

I hope that’s sarcasm because the CG stuff still looks awful. The fact that he has real spits is amazing. The only flying 109 I’ve seen is out in Seattle at the Flying Heritage collection so I doubt it would be easy to source a real German one.

I’ve covered FDA for about 17 years now. The people at FDA are generally overworked and underpaid. They aren’t lazy - not in general, at least. It seems like a really crappy job, tbh. They’re just trying to keep people safe and yet they get blamed for everything. Industry and Republicans say they ask for too much data

Wow, that looks like a feat of production. Nolan prefers shooting on film and prefers using practical filming and as little CG as possible. What made this thrilling was real boats on real seas. Real planes flying in real skies. A logistical nightmare to shoot but worth it when the product looks this rich.
