But can he get me a nice watch?

Minor point, the [inaudible] word is being reported elsewhere as "sign," which I assume is a fraternity way of saying they join (i.e. signing a contract).

Of course it's different, since we're also talking about 19th Century Europe and not 21st century American law.

Thank you! It's been 25 years since I heard that, and I forgot which dick composer it was. No wonder I couldn't find it.

At first I read that as "They hate Thicke so much that they hate Pitbull!" And I thought "wait, what's wrong with hating Pitbull?"

I was a music major for a year in college (couldn't hack it, changed majors), and I vaguely remember a story from Music History, which may be an urban legend. A Baroque composer wanted to do a thing for his patron, or a festival or something, so he wrote a little theme and sent it around to his composer buddies,

Because that ruins the narrative. People want to hate Robin Thicke so much because he's a buffoonish asshat that they're willing to throw Williams under the bus.

+1 Todd Frazier photo with Jeter.

Haven't seen cinnamon, but when traveling down south last year, the greasy spoon I was eating in had the mint ones. It was all I could do not to take the whole dispenser.

My father in law had me take his 1998(?) Grand Prix up to about 120 on a truly desolate country road. I was up that high for maybe 15 seconds, and over 100 for less than a minute, and I sweated through my shirt. And it wasn't even a rush, it was more just "nope, gonna die...now. No...now..."

I can't believe I've never thought about this before, and I'm kind of amazed that my answer is that regular cups and glasses go rim up, but coffee mugs go rim down. Can't be my mother's influence, she has a mug tree. I must now re-examine every choice I've ever made to see where I got this...

I have a (mostly) foolproof method for getting a song out of my head. I jam in a pre-selected more annoying song.

Kermit died with Jim Henson. They've never found anyone who sounds even remotely right.

So dumb.

Pedant alert: Chris Christie, not Christy (sorry. It's a good joke otherwise)

Right! Never mind concussions or fighting, but our stupid little skills competition that can affect who gets in the playoffs (where we ditch the concept altogether, btw) has to have some INTEGRITY, DAMMIT.

I won't say I'm hoping that they become unable to sustain themselves and are forced to die slow, painful deaths because of a lack of goods and services available to them, because that would make me a bad person.

Ok, as a devoted Score listener (less so the last few years, but still listening since day one), I can say that by listening to Chicago sports radio callers, you'd think lead paint was a delicious snack and that the oxygen supply in Berwyn was insufficient to sustain life.

Knowing pivot tables and vlookups is a fantastic start; knowing when to deploy each and actually being able to say "I can do X for you, that's just a quick vlookup, it'll take me 1/2 hour tops" (in reality it will take you 83 seconds, but you have to account for time to get coffee in there) is where you really start
