Because this post is meant to highlight the ways Oscar is making baby steps toward inclusion and diversity (despite Green Book taking the top award) by making many firsts and/or ‘just a fews’ in its winners tonight. Olivia Colman was a wonderful, well-deserved surprise and a raucously delightful speech, but it wasn’t

The order of the photos should match the order of descriptions because that is how captions have worked since captions were invented.

This is just a new-agey way of saying “I’m not like other girls... I actually just get along better with guys.”

Did the moon pick up Don Draper as its publicist in the last few years? The branding has been on point! It’s like a new ad campaign for Coca-Cola. Been around forever, everyone knows what it is and what it looks like, but BOOM, you throw down a good campaign and everyone goes bananas!

I, too, am very very sick and tired of constantly hearing about some “supermoon”.  It stops being special if it really isn’t that rare and I feel like every other week there is some kind of “super moon”, “blood moon”, “blue moon”, or “superbloodbluethreewolfmoon”.  Give it a rest, moon people.  Or, please explain why

WHEW, TODAY THO.

hi love the kpop coverage :)

Utterly pathetic. There are many people who work hard and don’t plagiarize.

wholly off-topic (and not intending to be glib, given the subject matter), but step for a moment over into the Pedantry Corner: the past-tense preterite of “to plead” is either “pleaded” with the same vowel in the first syllable, or “pled” (preferred, rhyming with “red”), but it is never “plead” as if it rhymed with

She strikes me as the type of person that many in the Splinterverse will roll their eyes at, but if those same people knew her personally would instead be like, “Oh Valerie? She’s awesome. Fucking love Valerie.”

I especially love the last few seconds when they're on set, having fun and showing off and hyping each other up. Good vibes!

Yes!  I went through a similar transition. And now shopping feels like it has so much more direction-it’s easier to find things at the intersection of like and require. And over time you end up with fewer mistake items because you don’t second guess yourself as often just because you love whatever store or there is a

I have several identical pairs of black pants and a bunch of (mostly) black T-shirts. I wear these literally every day of my life, mostly teamed with sneakers.

people are noticing, or they are not. or they are noticing briefly, before going on to notice something else.

How do you know no one noticed? I notice what a lot of people in my office wear but I never say anything.
