Same question here. I read the Tasker response but I think it's overkill for this application.

In the internet, there are no other types of horses.

Oh come on get off your high horse. It's a game, and it's hilarious.

Damn, ignorance everywhere... You do realize you have the same old Desktop right there right? At the press of a key. I do serious work, and I haven't been bothered by Windows 8 at all. I'm actually liking it a lot. It feels snappier, the new dialogue for File Transfer is great, the security has tightened up, and the

So we should avoid at all costs changing anything forever? Jeez, imagine the world we'd live in if that was the ruling mentality! Computers wouldn't even exist! "Oh can you imagine my parents learning how to type on a keyboard with scrambled letters in no apparent logical way? Nope, pen and pencil is the way to go."

I hear ya. I'm not a game developer, designer, or anything even remotely close to it, but it's always been a dream of mine. I'd love to eventually end up having a job in the video game industry. I do know however, that developing and designing games is a lot of hard work. Many people see it as playing, but if they

Your loss.

Damn, thanks Luke! This is EXACTLY the article I needed precisely today. I kept thinking all weekend whether to upgrade or not, for the exact same reasons. I'm a heavy gamer, and I recently purchased a lot of games (Halloween sales and what not), so I was really worried about the compatibility and functionality of all

Same here. Awesome quality if you ask me.

The Descent has been a very recurring recommendation. I'll make sure to watch it sometime this week and report back to tell you how it went. Thanks!

Glad to hear that. Also, about the price tag, check this out : http://blogs.windows.com/windows/b/bloggingwindows/archive/2012/07/02/upgrade-to-windows-8-pro-for-39-99.aspx

Nice list. My favorite genre is horror as well, and I wish I was easily scared, but I'm not.

Haven't you seen all the new features? Not only are there MANY optimizations under the hood that allow for much faster boot times and overall performance, but there are plenty of new features that are really worth the upgrade.

That's what most of the older generations think. I work at a startup, and what the article says is true. Here, the upper management expects employees to sacrifice a lot of time, and overall sanity, for the sake of the company. I'm all about working smarter (not harder) and being as productive as possible WITHIN the

What a lame attempt at trolling. They're only saying there are options out there in case you miss some of the features that were removed for Windows 8. If you don't miss them, you don't install them. Simple. In the particular case of the Start Menu at least, the removal makes sense. It was the slowest, clunkiest way

"These are the shards that could cause really damage to you."

Amen on PowerAmp and thanks for mentioning SwipePad. I downloaded it from reading it on your comment and it's great!

Teach us your hipster ways please.

I said that? Really?

For me, the number one place would be taken by The Exorcist, no doubt. I haven't seen The Descent, so I'll have to check that one out. Another good horror movie IMO is Insidious. Some parts were rather silly, but most of it is actually pretty creepy.
