RYY - McCollum Field / Cobb County, GA airport. I heard more than a few people jokingly say it stood for Run You Yankee. It is right next to Kennesaw Mountain, which was one of the few Confederate victories of the Atlanta Campaign.

Cut the federal gas tax, with the stipulation that the states must raise their gas taxes a proportional percentage.
Friends don't let friends buy Cobra radar detectors. Not saying that you've got to drop $400 on one, but Cobra "detectors" are pretty much bottom of the barrel.
Ironcially, after RS did away with the Realistic branded items, they turned to companies like Sony, Panasonic, Pioneer, etc., to make many of their products. I had an Optimus 5.1 surround sound receiver that was exactly the same as a Pioneer that you could go buy at Best Buy or Circuit City, but actually went for…
Some states already won't admit unvaccinated children into public schools. I was quite astonished at the number of states that did allow exceptions for personal reasons outside of religious belief. Even my home state of Georgia, which from what I recall did require them when I was of school age, now allows such…
Ah, now if the agency would just get its head out of its ass and make it easier for people to modernize these older aircraft without spending more than what the airplane is worth to do so.
Me too. I did it for about $2500-3000, but that was back in 2000-2001. Now I just spend my work week accommodating pilots of said 172s with their multiple practice approach requests!
Also, AM and FM are forms of modulation. Aviation radios use VHF/UHF (latter used by the military) but are AM. Better to refer to the frequency spectrum (LF/MF/HF/VHF/UHF/etc..) or if you're specifically referring to the broadcast band, call it the AM/FM broadcast band.
40 may be a bit too extreme, but we certainly need to do something to get these guys in their 70s -90s out of politics. Many of them are just out of touch with today and/or are too entrenched in the "old" way of doing things.
You contribute to a Roth post-tax. Capital gains from it are tax free and of course you are not taxed again on what you contributed to it under current tax law.
Consider a Roth IRA. Bonus is that all the earnings are tax free.
Yep, it will be $75-100, no 3rd party options will be available for at least 2-3 years, then they'll have to have Apple's magic chip in them (which they will get a nice licensing fee for) in order to not throw up a nag prompt every time you plug it in.
I've had my digital clocks set to 24 hr time since I was in high school. My wife finds it odd, and sometimes gets frustrated at me when I tell her it is "19:40" but it is a much more logical way of telling time.
That and DVR. I seldom watch anything when it actually airs, unless I'm channel surfing. Any program I go out of my way to watch I record and watch it when I want to.
It is broadcast TV, why in the hell should you be required to have a cable/satellite subscription?
I work directly behind the FedEx Super Hub in Memphis (actually the only building on the south side of Democrat Rd NOT owned by them) and that's the first time I've ever noticed the arrow hidden in there.
A man I knew that was a submariner told me this; there are two types of boats in the ocean, other submarines and targets.
FAR 101 already covers model rocketry. Basically as long as it is under 3.3 lbs, and doesn't carry more than 125 grams of propellant (that generally covers up to a G impulse) can be operated pretty much anywhere you have a landowner's permission and there aren't any other local ordinances that restrict flying rockets.
First, you'd have to get several people to do it, I know from the times I've ridden my bike with Waze on, it didn't seem to affect any rotutes. Waze has taken measures to insure that deliberate or accidiental actions by an individual don't lead to everyone being detoured.
In short, what they're doing doesn't work. As mentioned in the article, Waze uses actual MOVING traffic to determine when there is a slowdown. What effect, if any, the user congestion reports have on Waze's routing is subject to much debate. If you read the Waze wiki and forums, the topic comes up for discussion…
