It's all subjective, I guess. I think Tweak and Avarice are both better than Goose Island Bourbon County Stout. But we are both wrong, according to the GABF medals:

Depends on the type of beer. California wins with IPAs, Colorado has the best stouts, and Oregon is pretty good at everything. The best thing is that even if your state loses, it wins!
You need to make a trip out to Colorado in February. It is Stout Month in Denver, and you can get about anything your heart desires out here. Out West, I really enjoy Anchor Brewing's Christmas Ales (http://www.anchorbrewing.com/beer/christmas…). It is slightly different annually but is always good. It is strange because to me Liberty Ale and Anchor Steam are average beers.
