i don't know why you keep presuming my naivete on the topic just because i disagree with you. i personally know people who where hired by major game developers via their mod content. again though, these creators and their content do not constitute most of the mod content out there.

Generally, most mods are ill formed or incomplete. I got mega and megs of Simpsons sound effects in my og counter strike folder to prove it. stand alone game mods are great and most people won't complain about a free meal.

Many people feel that Minecraft feels unfinished. It's a valid critique by people who can't handle games where the goals aren't spoon fed to you.
