Also, I don't think it's right that you get dirty looks from Asian guys. That shouldn't happen.

Our sense of physical attraction isn't set in stone, impervious to the influences around us. If so, beauty ideals across time periods and cultures would be static. If women find themselves inherently incapable of being attracting to Asian men, it's a strong likelihood that at least a significant part of that is due to…
Yeah, and my question is that why it's so much more prevalent among Asian women. I think it's b/c of 2 factors:
I've grown up in pretty metropolitan areas. I've done well for myself, so this isn't a personal beef of mine.
It's not that rare, at least from my experience, but certainly outnumbered by WM/AF pairings.
I have no idea, but I'm guessing that the wife's in-laws won't like it too much if she exhibits too many feministy ideas.
Nah, it was my original mistake!
The philosophy of White people (who are like Lana Del Rey):
Are you using a John Hughesian definition of "popular," or a more post-modern version?
LOL, the walking pair of ass cheeks is hilarious!
"Oriental men..."
You could've just saved yourself a lot of trouble and instead just said, "It is what it is."
I am greatly pleased with the level of discussion here as well. This is by far the most popular post that I've ever started, and I'm very surprised because I thought that nobody would understand what I was talking about.
I didn't mean to insult South Asian women. Nobody could possibly be more beautiful than Freida Pinto. And of course, everyday South Asian girls are very pretty too.
I already said this to another poster, but what I meant was that Godfrey Gao is pretty big star in Asia, which may lead some people to think that he can't speak English (like Rain or Lee Byung Hun).
Yeah, debating whether East or South Asian men have it better or worse is a pretty pointless argument b/c if any group has an advantage, it is very meager and both groups are working from a disadvantaged situation.
White women who grow up in and dislike their patriarchal cultures (e.g. Southern Evangelical Christians) don't commit to shunning White men.
Southern White women also often grow up in patriarchal societies, and many of them break out of it.
But you're Asian and know more about Asian issues when it comes to beauty ideals.
"Popular..." Do you have a specific academic definition for that?
