Shunning Asian guys because they may be patriarchal is like shunning White guys because they may pro-Confederate racists.

Yes, but most non-Asian Americans aren't aware of Asian-Asian celebrities. By American standards, even someone like Kristin Kreuk would probably just get classified as Asian.

Yep, I corrected myself in another post because i meant to say in an INCREASINGLY minority majority country.

"But percentage-wise, more Asian kids are popular than white kids."

Yes, things are definitely changing. But old biases are hard to remove. Trust me, it's still common to hear, either implicitly or explicitly, from girls that they just don't find Asian guys attractive. Such confidence in pre-judging approximately 1 billion men!

Yes, and that hesitancy is based on their baseless and racist assumption that White people can relate more to cartoon animals more than people of colour.

What a huge coincidence then that the vast majority of the people on People's "Most Beautiful List," fashion magazine covers, etc. are all White.

"Filipino" is a pretty diverse group. There are Filipinos who look more native Pinoy, and there are those who look more East Asian, probably due to the sizable East Asian diaspora in that country. There's also a small minority with some Spanish mixture, but this is vastly overstated (see IMSCF Syndrome).

When did I ever say that I chose to sleep with girls based on race?

The prejudiced world doesn't agree.

Shoes remind me of that building that looks like a gigantic picnic basket.

Please tell more. I simultaneously am dying and dreading to listen.

So you don't even have that excuse then.

Except race is something we've had to deal with ever since we became aware of the world around us. It's impossible to ever stop thinking about race, not when it affects so many things.

Never meant that they were trophy wives. I was just saying that as individual Asian men move up the success ladder, many of them seem to date/marry White women, probably at a higher rate than, say, an Asian guy who works at a Chinese restaurant.

Yup, spot on. Northern Indians who are light-skinned could pass for plethora of ethnicities, such as "Mediterranean," Latino, Middle Eastern, etc.

Certainly, I think more guys are waking up to the obvious fact that South Asian women are beautiful.

"A few?"

No need to feel too sorry for me! :) As I said, I do relatively fine. I just hate the inherent injustice of it all.

If Maggie Q looks East Asian despite her big double eyelids and straight nose, then surely do most Southeast Asians. Lots of East Asians have tannish skin too.
