I use an ad blocker on my browser that has currently (on this page) blocked 17 ads (according to the little counter icon). Maybe using an ad blocker would make an article cross-posted from The Concourse now and then a little less irritating?

I concur. But all their publications have started to absorb some of Gawker. This is acceptable. Having Kim K and Kanye stories on io9 is not.

They also have subblogs and one of those subblogs is about more general interest stuff, including politics. If there was nothing but non-sports stuff being generated, you’d have a point. But there is plenty of sports content that you can read.
