I might make an addition:

If the weather is bad enough that you feel you need to have your hazards on, you are the hazard and you should find a path with roads suited to your comfort level. 30mph on the interstate in a snow storm is a recipe for getting rear-ended and hazards will not save you.

Nowadays most people’s “hood vent” are merely a very ineffective scrubbing vent combined with a microwave. What is needed is a hood vent connected to outside so the whatever the vent sucks up isn’t merely redirected back inside.

Don’t lie to your boss, co-workers or employees. Like it probably won’t matter if you do, but there are smarter ways to make your statement about availability that don’t involve lying about something that can potentially be verified, even accidentally, which always introduces an element of risk.
