I didn’t say replay made this call worse... I said the implementation of replay in baseball has been garbage. This was a pretty unambiguous play, so the fact that it isn’t reviewable because reasons is silly.

That’s weird... in a Nats/Giants game a couple of months ago... Zimmerman was hit on the wrist and the Giants challenged that it hit the bat; the play was given an official review and the hit by pitch was upheld.

How was that not reviewable? You can review whether the ball hit a batter’s hand or his bat; why couldn’t you review this? Replay is supposed to remove ambiguity, but it’s been implemented so badly that it only seems to have made the problem worse.
