Prius or RAV4 Hybrid.

Mr. Villani was alert, not impaired, and was pressing on the brakes”

I only saw one piece of footage, is there more out there that would be able to show this?

That is possible, but to believe that is a certainty is naïve as well. OEMs are continuing to develop ICE, even GM reinvested in a new V8 manufacturing and design facility despite their Ultium program. They know they have to because a quick transition to solely EVs isnt practical or sustainable for them. Stellantis,

Sure but technology like that has fairly lengthy gestation periods. Like I mentioned before I was speaking about current practices. Using current tech, proliferating hybrids and PHEVs will be better served until technology can sustain the level of growth for pure EVs to take over.

My claim comes from the current process to obtain, manufacture and distribute enough product. I don’t think in its current form it is sustainable, and we would be much better served putting that towards a higher percentage of hybrid or PHEV vehicles. The net reduction, at least from what I’ve read and seen, would be

Ah thanks, I missed that mention. And yeah also worried how this will function in 5-10-15 years time.

Well some would argue that approach isnt really saving anything. I’m just playing devil’s advocate here, though do believe that changing how we live will be exponentially more impactful than changing what we live with. EVs may be a step towards trying to be “sustainable” but may not be a realistic solution for the

Has anyone yet looked inside it to see if there is a drain or something for when it rains or goes through a car wash? And does that hinged cover lock when the vehicle is locked so that people cant stuff random crap in there?

That still sounds like excuses if you really wanted to advocate for saving the planet. Personal vehicles do make traveling more convenient for many types of people and their geographic area, but at the end of the day it is really just that, a convenience. I’d say if you are going to argue a point, dont stop halfway

Wouldn’t it be even better to advocate for the elimination of POVs and get everyone onboard with mass public transportation. EVs are still vehicles so if your aim is to save the planet, I’d think cutting down on that among a whole host of other daily routines and activities would do so much more for that cause.

Not certain, but I’d imagine the regulation covering it says it has to be on a separate circuit in the event of other electrical modules failing. That’s probably why Tesla doesnt incorporate it into their screen.

I mean to be fair, that’s still a phone that is less than 3 years old right? I suppose that’s old in terms of modern phone age but still. I have a 2020 SE that’s still very sufficient for my uses, though I did download a recent game that it seemed to struggle to render smoothly.

Heck do you even need to put the cone on the car? I’d think even just one cone sitting on the pavement in front and in back wouldnt allow the vehicle to move (unless it’s programmed to hit things).

Ah good point, though just a quick Google search said diesel is more dense. Another good point however about people not filling up when completely empty too, prolonging onset or minor symptoms.

How did it take them 3 days to figure out their tank of incorrect fuel was the problem? I’d think that within 24 hours there would have been many a call that would have alerted the station to the potential issue.

I did see the reference to all the giant and powerful SUVs, but honestly I wouldnt use any of those as litmus for calling something intrinsically good to drive. The M2 reference I missed, and does strike me as a bit odd unless the roads in nearby Arizona or wherever werent conducive to carving corners at all.

Uh, how is it stand your ground when it very much appears you started lifting and firing your weapon before the other vehicle was even fully alongside?

What reference point was used as basis for saying this is good to drive? Lotus Elise, Mazda Miata, 2004 BMW M3, Tesla Model S, Chevy Caprice?

Even if that were the case, doesn’t the phone or key card have to be in the vehicle for it to be driven away?
