I think it’s a big regional area since they combined New York and New Jersey. We were lucky to buy in 2011 and we moved slightly inland because we had no chance to afford Redondo where we were renting. Our 20 percent was only $68k, but it’d be closer to $100k now.

I’ve never understood it. I wash my bras after every wearing. It’s underwear, the closest clothes to my body. It’d be like my husband not washing his undershirts

Exactly. I had a June wedding with a candy table after dinner. All of the candy was purchased the day after Easter (a late one that year). Went over like gangbusters.

My nephew calls his fathers “Daddy” and “Papa”

My husband was SO tired from not sleeping well the night I was in labor that he slept like a rock the next night and I had to will my body out of a tall hospital bed over and over to take care of the baby alone. Then he went home to sleep the next night while we were still in the hospital. Eleven months later, he

Don’t shop at Michael’s either; they only donate to red causes and were vocally against same sex marriage. Joanne’s is super cool though.

Totally, I bought a bunch of separates at like $3 each on clearance and then they gave me 20% for a Saturday coupon and I earned points on Shopkick. The clothes are horribly organized but there’s some great deals there. I even bought a Carter’s sleeper in 2T (baby is barely on the verge of switching from 9M to 12M)

I never go to Kohl’s on a Monday or Tuesday. That would just be stupid.

The bigger question is “Why is this done on a company by company basis?” Yes, of course, bigger companies are going to give their top shelf employees maternity leave because it’s just another executive washroom type of compensation to woo the big fish. Admin staff at those firms are likely ineligible.

They may not be “equal” but in California we have state disability that gives us at least a few weeks of paid maternity leave, no matter what company you work for.

Wish I’d tried this 11 months ago. My husband thought watching The Hobbit would help but man is that a slow boring movie. Luckily, the epidural made everything better.

That floor tile is perfectly fine as long as the fibers aren’t released. In fact, it’s probably better than the replacement since asbestos is a great fire-retardant.

All schools built prior to 1981 deal with asbestos thanks to AHERA.

Looks like I’d start at the bruery because I drive past it everyday. Or maybe I’ll just stay there.

I wish I could think of something to get back at my neighbors. I had a baby but she’s actually pretty quiet, darn it.

Such a great reminder, I should really stay off the phone at least until I’ve eaten breakfast. I can get sidetracked on Facebook while pouring the cereal. My husband’s the worst though, he’ll sit in bed for 30 minutes hitting snooze and reading NFL injury reports.

I was 23, they didn’t let me start the 401k until I’d been with the company six months. Started a roth ira a couple years later. Stayed at ten percent, went as high as eighteen, but now I’m down to five. Need to inch it back up. We don’t get a match but we supposedly get profit sharing. It’s in an account we can’t

Coming to say the same thing. I came in third because I didn’t know final jeopardy but I also lost to a five day champion who will probably be in the upcoming tournament of champions.

yeah, I had to get my stepdad’s info the first time because he was technically paying child support ($40/week). But I turned 18 halfway through freshman year so I didn’t have to include him the next time.

My mother didn’t contribute to my college education but I was still required to use her info on the FAFSA until I graduated with my B.S.
