I think you're seeking an argument for the sake of an argument right now, and I'm not sure I comprehend why. I said it was the "prime example," as I feel it's split audiences more than any science fiction film ever, which was the criterion.

I said Avatar was the prime example. I didn't say it was the first.

Not to sound rude, but I think you're arguing semantics now. Records don't necessarily have to be as big as this — they can be company records, month records, etc. Studios went with 3D to increase revenue, yes, but records are part of that.

Yes.

Yeah, I'm not really a big Sandra Bullock fan when it comes to dramas. She just seems to bring that soap opera vibe (just my opinion, obviously). I was really hoping for almost any of that previously rumored female leads, such as Natalie Portman.

I don't care what any reviews say: Alfonso Cuarón makes it an instant watch.

Yeah, there's lots of reasons for that. Our home entertainment probably being the main one, definitely.

I think "wanting to break box office records" and "wanting to make tons of cash" go hand-in-hand, personally. Movie studios definitely want to hold financial records.

How a Wolverine sequel could improve on the original: do anything different at all.

Great news! Haven't been able to see it yet, but eagerly anticipating it.

Box Office Mojo does, I believe. A lot of companies compare ticket sales from one generation to another, and our generation is way, way behind.

I clicked this article because of the picture of Dr. House in the title image. I was mislead.

I don't really think any of these are going to wind up being surprise hits in that they gross over $100 million, but I do think Ted is going to have a good showing and get at least decent reviews.

I have to admit, I didn't like Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol. At all. It was highly forgettable. I honestly thought the opening scene was some sort of parody that was playing before the film began, and it didn't get much better from there. It just felt like it tried too hard to be the quintessential summer

Yes, that seems likely. I mean, there was already the war-supporting dance scenes in the original. Logical next step!

Never said that. I merely said you won't have to watch in the unlikely event Netflix renewed it. Relax, it wasn't an insult.

I gave one specific example (to say he's pulling the same move as that example) and said it's been done plenty of times before. I didn't say the one example and claim that example counts as plenty of times. That doesn't even grammatically follow.

So it will almost be a different genre of film, which I've never seen before in a sequel.

Then you won't have to watch it. lol

Man, I wish I were an attractive 22-year-old female who no one had ever met outside of the Internet with a small following on a semi-popular website that could potentially lead to a writing job at ESPN.
