What is strange is they promote the Evo like crazy on Twitter. So the car that everyone loves that will be discontinued get's promoted but it's almost as if they pretend they don't even make that sad excuse for a golf-cart, i-Miev. So sad Mitsu, I remember when you were cool.

I would agree if it wasn't so damn slow. I think the EcoBoost 6-speed is around 8 seconds while the Accord Sport 6-speed will do it in about 6.8. Now if Ford made the 2.0EcoBoost with a stick we would have a clear winner.

I'm glad this came up. I am currently working with a client who is determined to get a Camry. He his pretty brand loyal to Toyota and really likes the Sport (I know insert "grounded to the ground" joke here). I am strongly encouraging him to drive the Accord and the 6. Was not aware about the increase tax rate, the regulatory issue is a plausible factor as well. Perhaps if consumer demand increases those regulatory/processing costs could come down.

Fuel economy will be a "factor" in my next car purchase but it will not be a major one. I'm not going to go out of my way to maximize MPGs, I want the car to be fun if it gets good mileage than that is a bonus. Now I only drive about 20 miles a day, so my fuel costs are not too bad. I would love a diesel next time…
