I'm just trying to do you a favor now. You should research this. 60fps games these days are rare (except on PC where the matter is effectively not applicable). Perhaps 10% of current gen games are even unlocked beyond 30, let alone solidly 60. You can trust me on this; video compositing is my pidgin.

"Slightly" doesn't begin to cover it. It puts me off the game completely. The devs may be on to something by making the protagonist a thoroughly unlikable, drugged-out teenage punk, but it should have been obvious that such a thing would be unappealing to some people.

A proper next-gen game runs at 1080p60, beyond merely looking somewhat better. There are a few such games slated for launch on one or the other platform. This game isn't one of them.

I hate the character design of Infamous Second Son's protagonist so much that it actually somewhat poisons how I feel about the PS4 in general.

Eh. The videos being uploaded are choppier than the actual game. I acknowledge that. Yet I also point out that this unnecessary choppiness is symptomatic of an overarching problem with the QA of this game and everything associated with it.

Framerate? (I ask because the tally so far is frankly distressing. Only EA Digital Illusions CE and Turn 10 Studios seem to understand that next gen means more than just pretty screenshots.)

Risen 2 says "hi".

I chalk it up to the game's overall lack of polish.. or just perhaps its multiplatform nature (which frankly comes down to lack of polish). Sure, the actual game is more stable, but still suffers from way more framerate chokes and scene-change hiccups and other such phenomena than a game where the last few months of

Huh. Not sure if it's even worth it to give an accurate response to your question after having waded through all that obscenely ill-informed chatter about framerates, but here it is: CoD and BF4 on PS4 are 60fps. Same games on XB1, plus Killer Instinct and Forza 5. Far as I have read/seen, everything else shoots

As for Mighty No. 9 being a more modern game, I'd like to address a concern I've recently had. Inafune talks often about listening to his fans for input. He must be very conscious of the degree to which his Western audience is influencing his ability to make this game happen. I worry that he will make some

I agree with Inafune. Why? Consider: Imagine if this kickstarter was for a brand new.. Megaman game. Actually, I can't speak for anyone else, but I personally would be far less excited or interested.

Hmm. Another pixel art game that seems to be expressing about ten different resolutions simultaneously? I've always felt that doing so pretty much defeats the point.

As always, the only thing I see when I watch DI videos is dodgy framerates. And why not? The kiddies sure don't seem to mind.

Just going by what I've seen in the DR3 videos so far. 99% of the time, what those videos are showing look nothing better than what we've all seen the 360/PS3 already do. And the framerate is the same not-really-30fps that DR2 ran at. A lot of zombies? Looks like about the same as DR2, frankly. Naturally this is

Actually, if the Kinect2 had managed to be latency free (on the order of a wireless mouse, say), I would be one of its strongest proponents. That kind of responsiveness would transform it from an unwanted $100 waste to something that is perfectly viable for gaming. But the fact of the matter is that the videos are

Well that settles it. For simple lack of anything at all that interests me on PS4 until next year (when the avalanche begins), my first next-gen console will in fact be XB1. I don't even care that the game is still drab, that it has framerate issues, or that it only occasionally even manages to look like something a

Try and kill you?

Didn't know that about Fairytale Fights, although now that I've had a look, it seems like they may have taken that achievement out before release. Don't see it in the list. Anyway, the game I was thinking of was indeed Dante's Inferno.

I'd be rather more interested in this game if one of those "???" goals turned out to be PS4/XB1 versions. Yes, the game looks like something that could come out on anything with some kind of hi-def output, but the fact of the matter is that there is zero compatibility between PS3&PS4 or 360&XB1. You'll be playing

Skyrim it is. That didn't take long. ;p
