Some districts in Massachusetts charge a fee for full day Kindergarten. Kindergarten isn't mandated so, in theory, the towns don't have to fund it at all.

It would be petty to link his Facebook account and the comments he's made there wouldn't it? Oh well, I'm petty.

I'm hopeful that she will be in about 10 years but she's still super young.

The obesity epidemic often comes up when people talk about helicopter parenting and kids not being allowed to play outside unsupervised. I don't think there's been an official campaign about it, though.

Any decent partner* is going to be there for the birth of their kid and do you really want the first time you see that to be in 3D?

9th grade biology. I crossed my legs so hard it hurt.

My sister-in-law taught herself calligraphy to address her own wedding invitations. When I got married she offered to address ours for us. She fought me hard on the titles. There are a bunch of roadside produce stands near me that run on the honor system most of them time (during peak times they usually have someone there to make change). The sign says the carton of peaches is $4 so you put $4 in the box and take your peaches. People must pay or they'd stop doing it.

Which is, of course, the whole appeal of religion/belief in an afterlife to begin with.
