Just wanted to throw in my stance on developers changing a story based on fan demands. First of all, "fans" complain all the time. And just because some are complaining, doesn't mean everyone (or even a significant number of people) want the change. I do, however, defend the creators' rights to control the work.

I take no issue with what they're doing. They're not changing the ending, they're not rewriting the story. The fans aren't causing them to change the story. They're just adding more, going more in-depth. Writers do this all the time, except that it usually occurs via sequels or other sources of background info. I

All arguments against homosexuality/same-sex marriage always give me a good laugh, simply because they have no standing. It's flat-out discrimination/close-mindedness, there's nothing else to it. There is a difference between agreeing and accepting.

Still not even remotely interested in this game. Nor have I seen anything about Black/White2 to spark my interest. Maybe I really am done with the series, barring a true reboot. Just can't handle all the limited-time DLC and tedium with breeding/IVs.

Don't see a problem with it. Some people enjoy playing a game lots to unlock stuff, some people prefer to have access to everything and just want to jump right in to the full experience. The only issue I can see is people who had to play to unlock everything when they would have rather just paid.

If EA beat out Comcast that shows that the people voting in this poll are clearly clueless.

Agreed. I pledged $100, but I know it's going to fail.

Exactly. The issue here is not that the DLC is disc-based instead of download-based. The issue is that content that was finished in time to be put on retail discs needs to be unlocked by paying more money. Publishers, like just about any other corporate entity, are simply trying to see how many hidden fees they can

You may feel that the extra content was worth the price, but I'm sure you won't deny that it would have been BETTER if the content had just been in there, included in the original price you payed for the game.

I would rather have a super addition so I can get the game plus all the extra content for $60 (or usually much less). Instead, they think consumers would be happy about not having a super edition and just paying $60 for the new game plus even more money to unlock the extra content? Absolutely ridiculous.

The difference is that this has always been the case. Removing access to actual gameplay content so that the publisher can charge more money is a new and extremely alarming trend.

This is absolutely hilarious, but more in a "I can't believe they would do this, I'm laughing at you not with you" sort of way.

Love the idea. Too bad the mindset in business is more geared towards exploitation than cooperation.

Good thing I'm stuck at school by myself for Easter weekend. This will keep me occupied! Now that we've got all these prototypes, it would be really cool to see some developer pick up one of these games and run with it. Could be very interesting...

Double April Fools!

Running around on the loading screen is my favorite. Or the table smashing. 10/10!

Haven't poked around it much yet, but the meta-metcritic thing looks absolutely hilarious!

I love Atlus, but I dunno how I feel about this marketing strategy. There is such a thing as abusing social media.

Well I just looked through the FAQ on the kickstarter page and that cleared up why they weren't doing digital-only stuff. And they added a digital download to the $100+ tier.

I love Atlus, NISA, and XSEED. I just wish Atlus was doing more developing. We haven't gotten a single console game other than Catherine from them this gen.
