I'm starting to get pessimistic about the CoH2 kickstarter as well, which is really too bad. Sure the pricing tiers are a bit disappointing (you have to pay $60 just to get any copy of the game whatsoever, not even a free digital with the lower tiers—what!?), but it was an awesome idea. And I actually LIKE the fact

I sort of agree with you. The JRPG fan (and Etrian Odyssey fan) in me wants to support the kickstarter no matter what. But after looking into it more, I'm starting to feel uneasy. I'm sure CoH2 is better than the first, but I'd like to see some actual import reviews or at least a preview of some sort.

Excellent, excited about all the upcoming JRPGs. Been replaying Persona 3/4 as well as Tales of Graces lately so it's been getting me in the mood bigtime. Now just to cross my fingers for Persona 5/Tales of Xillia Directors Cut announcements.

Frankly, I don't think you really CAN make that great of a game based on the GoT IP. Sure it's got its landmarks and significant/interesting areas, but really it is sort of just generic fantasy. And considering the books/show are more about characters and politics than exciting battles and adventure, any game is

That might be true of the originals, but all FFT has gotten since was an enhanced port which changed almost nothing about the gameplay. Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together is such a complete overhaul that's is basically an entirely new game, and a much better one at that. The chariot tarot, class levelling, and

Yeah, definitely a phenomenal soundtrack. And "Blasphemous Experiment" is such a great track. I played that battle many times because I couldn't beat it, and I never minded hearing that song over and over again.

I'd be interested if it weren't a facebook game.

Excited to see what comes of this, and wishing I didn't live in the midwest so that I could actually attend/participate.

Maybe there's a setting you can change on facebook/your account here? I always use my google account and as far as I can tell, you can't get to any of my stuff there through Kotaku (yet, at least).

Looking forward to Meruru, but this one is sounding awesome as well. I'm curious to see what they mean by "grander scale."

Sounds like I'm going to enjoy ACIII. The two spinoffs didn't appeal to me at all, but this game is sounding like it's going to be exactly what I liked about the franchise in the first place. Any word if there's multiplayer in it?

There is a huge difference between finding ways to push consumers to buy games new or get in on used game sales somehow (possibly by striking deals with used retailers or online passes and such) and "outlawing" it completely.

Thank goodness. There aren't any Vita games that have my attention other than Persona 4 The Golden, but playing some of these PSP games on it for cheap would be more of an incentive to get one. I already bought P3P last night and I've been playing it whenever I have a spare moment!

That's how the combat in Etrian Odyssey is, and I (and many others) love those games to death.

Ooooh yeah, I wish this was happening with 7th Dragon. Fucking Sega :(

I don't play Draw Something (don't have a smart phone) but I have a bunch of friends who do. It's fun, but the biggest issue is that they have so few words in the game. Eventually, you can tell what it is just because you know what words to expect.

I LOVE telephone pictionary! Probably my most favorite non-video game ever. I would totally get this app...in the mean time I'll be wasting away my time playing this on the computer!

And once again, innocent consumers will be fucked over for no reason in the middle of the endless and futile battle between pirates/hackers and corporations.

I'd say Activision is worse than EA if we're looking at publishers. As for my pick, I'm torn between Walmart and Comcast.

Persona 3/4 were a result of emulating Western style games? I thought they were more even more Japanese than the earlier games. And from what I've seen, when JRPG developers tried to change up the formula (DQX, FFXIII, Suikoden Tierkries) there was a lot of negative backlash. Personally, I'm fine with sticking to a
