Ew, didn't know about the shooter elements. I play RPGs for the command based combat, because I'm not very good at aiming (unless I can take my time sniping) or remembering button combinations. Hopefully this will be playable and enjoyable for me.

Gotta love consumerism! Our society never ceases to amaze me.

Neither handheld has anything that greatly interests me thus far, neither in terms of games or hardware.

If I didn't know what it was for/didn't see the "DC Comics" below it, I would have no idea that was supposed to be the letters D and C. They could've kept the idea (which is novel) and done a much better job.

My personal favorite was the uncle one, especially with the follow-up comment about the family.

If you were only using L1 and X you were playing it wrong

It's not like they took them out to use as a selling point in the next game. They experimented with a new approach to game design in FFXIII, and while many enjoyed it, many also hated it. With such bad fan backlash, they're trying to show that they've listen to the responses with this sequel.

Oh, well they looked like boobs at a glance haha! Still...

Seriously? We're STILL getting this sort of censorship!? And even worse, there is some slightly smaller underboob right next to it that is completely untouched. I don't give a shit about seeing underboob, I'm just angered by the principle of the matter.

Haven't decided if I like the logo better than the European logo. On one hand, I feel like it's a little sleeker, but on the other hand the font change doesn't really make sense.

If it's easy for you guys and you're willing, I say good for you. Personally, it doesn't take much effort for me to not click on stories that don't look relevant/interesting to me, so no complaints here. But I'm sure some people will gladly take advantage of this feature. Yay, everybody wins!

I don't think the QTEs add anything of significance, and I am disappointed in that sense. They could have actually implemented them well like Heavy Rain did, but instead they're just a cheap way of eliciting more interaction from the player.

I actually found more substance in FFXIII as I played it more and more, but maybe that's just because I actually really enjoyed the story/characters and got really into the battle system.

I suggest replaying the game. I know a lot of people who understood the story a lot better after they played it a second time. I've played through the game quite a few times, and it's really helped me understand the story inside and outside.

Funny, that was EXACTLY the approach I assumed Nintendo/the developers were taking. Fans have read waaaaay too into the whole story/timeline thing with the series. It's been made pretty clear that the developers aren't that wrapped up into it. There are different people involved with each game, and the series has

And here comes the bitchfest over which games were put in the okay/good/amazing categories...

Of course Nintendo would tell consumers not to wait for a new 3DS iteration—that's just bad business. That's not stopping them from coming out with a new iteration of the system. All I know is that I'm not even considering getting the system until a new model comes out. Right now the only game I'm genuinely

I think the significance in this case is that the response actually shows up in-game. It's not just your friends behind you clapping or cheering, it's actually a part of the game interface. That's how I understood it at least.

I'm all for criticism, but this seems like hair-splitting and nit-picking to me. I mean, if you go into playing a game intending to write down every single little thing that bothers you, I think you're taking the completely wrong approach. I'm terribly cynical and sarcastic in most cases, but I really think this is

Exactly what I was thinking. Is it just because of marketing/big box art?
